anyone knows if it's possible to overhaul a different engine onto roadwin? eg, ta200's engine be fixed on roadwin. just curious.. hehe :cheeky:

 

Its possible but illegal... engine chassie number will be different... Can i implant a S4 engine into roadwin?? haha..

hey guyz,

 

ive got a big issue to talk abt...been riding roadwin for almost 2 yrs nw...& haf not had any major prob till last wkends..

 

when dwn to cka bb on fridae to chge oe to royal purple (as recommended frm e previous thread) , chge stock carb to racing carb.

 

when jb shop ard...den suddenly cant start...!!! $#^&$*&...!!! Tried again afew more tym den it started...pheww...!!i was abit scared abt e bike nt startin..

 

so when tamp giant next, runnin a few errants...aft buyin stuffs, head back to e bike...& guess wat..!?!!?! e bike cant start at all...DAMN...!?!?!

 

so left e bike at tamp giant..for e night...e following day, STILL cant start...

 

had it towed back to cka bb frm tamp...ROY checked and told me mayb e coil no power...n e royal purple oe doesnt match with our coil...he say e rp oe nt smooth enuff...i was like wat...?? i spend 180 bucks on e new carb...n nw gotta chge e coil another 140...total 320 buck...man, datz a lot for juz 2 daez..

 

aft chgin tot it was back to norm...aft riding off, went back hm...park as usual...goin out in a few hrs tym..gues wat again...!!! IT JUZ WONT START...!!! IM SOOO PISSED OFF..!! aft spending 350 bucks still cant start...

 

mister st soh...spacerevo...drift..n all e others..

gimme me sum advice man...i realli nid sum comfort nw...

 

tell me watz e prob all abt...YOU GUYS, I NEED YOUR HELP...!!!

 

why did you change to a racing carb? hmm... well.... its likely an electrical problem. CKA BB cannot trust everything they say... they do hard line selling.. i know.. carrot a few times.. but my decision to do the major change was mine.. so I'm still ok.. as long as this pet project of mine becomes successful, it will be worth it..

 

eat lots of carrot cake on first bike... second bike give away carrot cake.. hahah

 

Does ur stater sound like its running when you start your bike? does your lights on when you on ur bike??

can anyone whom have change carb using so called racing type list the specification of it.

do anyone have knowledge to optimise tuning the racing carb?

or do u still depends on mech from cka bb?

 

do remember carb is to meter fuel n air mixture,

watever size it is, it doesn't matter as long as it delivers perfect mixture thru' out the engine revolutions.

best mix is 14.7:1 (14.7gm of air to 1gm of fuel).

carb can't do it, at best it will gives 12~18:1 mixture.

EFI with air mass n O2 sensors can do a better job.

 

hee.. i'm still replaying on cka bb... i'm finalising the final few part of my bike and will start Carb and sprockets changing soon.

 

guys.. plz dun change to racing carb till we settle the carb. setting...

answering all ur questns...

 

to my feel n hearing...it seems fine..e light is up when switch is on...e battery is still brand new...prolly less den a yr..coz my last batt fail on me..actuali on tuning of carb, i put e trust on e mech as i duno much of e tuning part...coz b4 buyin roadwin, i was ridin a vespa...

 

the crankin can b heard...isit due to my fuse...?? a fren say dat e petrol flow to e carb may b to less compared to e airflow... so, im abit confuse..i noe ah chuan, micheal n e rest of cka bb abit chop ppls head...bt ive got no choice...im satin in jurong..n bought e bike frm cka bb...so more or less bb is e onli mech im familair wit...nvr actuali tried e one in jurong or toh guan...as kaki bukit..is abit far...n im werkin office hr..timing is challenge b4 e 7pm closed...

 

so dudes...wat do you suggest...??

frankly speakin ...i noe nuts abt e 1st slot 2nd slot etc etc...e 1/4 turn n so on...dumbfounded...im in need of mitin u guyz up..tellin me more abtwat i shud noe...

to the best of my knowledge, as long as cranking can be heard, the electrical problem should not be there. if you haven't tried the choke, can try. actually i believe daelim engine configurations and build is almost the same as other other engines. similarly, all other parts of the rw should be built on the same theory. as such, i would suggest u approach other bike shops' mech and ask them for their opinion. with the help of their experience, they probably would be able to guess wad had happened.

please do correct me if i'm wrong.

 

 

 

 

in addition, i think racing carb may be an unstable mod until those guys with racing carbs back it up. anyway, i think johnnykato is using racing carb with RP eo rite? he hasn't had any prob.. so i guess RP with racing carb has no negative effect.

I've pumped types to 39 PSI, Full Tank,

 

100KPH is at 7500RPM , 110KPH is still the max. I guess its safe to say the CDI is power cutting the engine.

 

Erm.. Frankly.. 15/37 gives you the power at 3-5K RPM therefore , the pickup is strong and you can keep up. 14/37 feels like stock... weak at pickup. I can't seem to follow car at pickup.

 

14/37 has less vibration. It has the capability to maintain at slopes that the older settings starts to lose power.

 

 

The problem is Front and rear also small.. so its counteract each other... what you get is lack of power in low gear, less vibration and higher RPM to hit 110 KMH.

 

Tarique rode my bike just now... can't pick up any difference from a stock bike which the new spocket change..
