i don't know as well. have been riding like this for quite some time. very packed schedule, dont know if i have the time to go to HQ.

but on my side, is there anything i can check?

is it possible the clutch needs to change already, thats y the engine cannot pull at high revs.??

eclip was set at #3 by mech. is pilot screw for idling? cos i asked the mech set for me before. accelerator cam i'm not sure if it is 0.5mm at full throttle but there is a little slack..

but sir, the prob lies with not being able to pull the engine beyond 8k rpm. how does the above 3 factors influence tat?

Dude... Meet me tmr nite. I end work at 9 from dover. we see how from there..

Can't pull beyond 9, could be a sprocket setting.. at 15t/40t, i'm having probs hitting past 9k rpm.. a problem i neer had when i was on 14t/40t. BUt this is due to engine lack power. slight downslope, will sure hit.

Well, ur bike, gotta take a highway ride to find out. so..

guys wat do u think of ur roadwin?? even tho some ppl say daelim , useless piece of ****.. maybe can share ur thoughts =]]

For me tho i haven even rode one , i seriously think that if we who follow other ppl's comment and think daelim's piece of **** , i think its not fair to daelim itself.. and if we think like them then we aren't giving daelim its chance to prove themselves..

i love roadwin at first sight.. asked around riders how they think bout roadwin.. well.. not very good response.. But after much research on the net , realised that roadwin and roadwinR are very well received in the western side.. ang mohs like them..

feel free to share ur thoughts =]]

Well Guan, I think U ever smsed me before on this.

My invite is still open to all who wanna ride a RW. Dun judge it till you ride it. it's not the best in teh market, and there are at least 20 other 125s ranging from cuppies, to ratbikes, to sportbikes which are better than the RW in terms of engine performance, and availability of spare parts.

THere's no bike without problems. Its a matter of how well your mechanic serves you, which determines how ocntented you are with the bike.

I wanna be honest with you guys, and i think spacerevo and driftbaker can vouch for this..

Within one month of buying this bike, 2nd hand from CKA, I had to...

1) replace alternator

2) replace carburator

3) replace batteries

4) new headlamp

5) new brake pads - on this topic, currently i using nissim.

Because ..

1) on the 2nd day, my bike won't remain started when moving in 2nd gear. - not enuff warmup. noob. my fault.

2) on the 2nd week, my bike wont start - batt weak new batt, new alternator

3) by the end of the 1st month, my bike wont remain started - new carburator

Did i also tell you that my bike mileage got reset when i bought it? So i don't know how far the bike has gone..

At that point in time, i was phreaking cursing and swearing. Thinking twice if i made the right choice..

But everytime i cruise on the highway, everytime i hear my engine pop when i overtake thru cars, everytime someone looks at my bike, and start wondering what bike i'm riding, the i know I made the right choice on my roadwin.

All bikes have problems. Its just a matter of a cheap one, or expensive.

Where's Johnykato? Heard he sold off his bike, and got a Super 4...

pilot screw is air mix screw, not idle screw.

3 factors r settings which is best carb configurations fuel/air mixture.

none can tell unless it is check by someone whom knows technically.

tat's y recommend u visit cka hq n ask roy to check it for u.

15t/40t is too much load for rw to drive.

with 140/70 rear tire which is bigger n heavier will need more power.

tat's the reason why i always recommend use 15t/42t with 130/70 rear tire at best u can do up to 9.5k rpm.

unless u r using stock (14t/42t with 140/60 rear tire) then u r able to pull up to 10k rpm which basically wat it is designed/configurated intention.

I'm on 140/60. 15t/40t.
