Dear ggc9898,

I remember a manual throttle reset function fro my former DownTown, maybe this manual reset function works also with your scooter ?

* Place the scooter on its main stand and put the side stand up.

* To set the throttle position with the bike off crack the throttle wide open and turn ignition on.

* Wait 8-10 seconds after turning on (no cranking) then release the throttle.

* After 5 seconds or so turn the ignition off. Now the throttle position sensors are set.

Something not clear just ask me again and I will try to use other words

Wish you all the luck you need, cheers Jan :)

Shocking NICE ha ha

what is the center to center size from these after market shocks?

Xciting 400 is about 41cm.

And agree that having them in your hand's could be better then on picture,

besides had any custom / border / VAT control or did you slip ?

Me myself did never any dyno test on motor scooter...I only did one before after90cc installation on my Kymco Agility 50cc.

this high idling just started for 2 days. its quite irritating to me as the scooter feels like its going to move. I will try revving it during the weekend and monitor the scooter a few more days.

thanks for your information.

Hi Kongfu.... there are more manual reset options:

* Flooded engine

* soft Ecu error re-set

I have a nice video from the flooded engine reset,

When I come home I will upload the video.... ecu re-set can find in service manual.

Kind regards Jan

Hello Adierms.

For replacement of any horn you have to remove the front of our bike,

main reason is that the OEM horn is located in between the headlights.

First remove Windshield

Remove four windshield cover bolts on both sides with a 10mm socket.

Connectors are located behind the front

Please remove carefully

Green wire = Negative / LG = Light Green wire = Positive OEM horn

http://www.freebits.nl/images/763WiringHorn.jpg

I also would like to advise that if it comes to quality/loudness "Stebel" is one of the best brands to get.

Here's a simple example of my former DownTown.

"Stebel HF 80/" (136 db) (Don't need wiring kit, just connect straight onto Positive/Negative OEM horn)

(left side is Kymco OEM)

http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/17/claxondowntown004.jpg

http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/1385/claxondowntown006.jpg

DownTown is a couple of years a go so for Xc I would like to get myself something new.

"Stebel Nautilus" Compact Motor Bike Air Horn (139 dB)

(need wiring kit, relay included in kit)

No delay... so honk and action!

Url....: http://www.valkmotive.com/webshop/horns/horns-with-built-in-compressor/stebel-nautilus-compact-black/NCZ

Click here for the installation manual

Note:

You don't have to pull "negative wire 3" from horn to battery,

instead you can connect wire 3 nearby the horn straight onto ground.

So you only have to pull one positive wire all the way from relays too battery.

Happy weekend Jan :thumb:

b.t.w.

All air horn's are using relays, so they are all installed

just like the installation manual above ;)
