just remember that these are all essentially the same CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X with the 500cc engine downsized to 400cc with shorter stroke.

BP package is 2k downpayment and 280 for 48months = 15440 w/o insurance. So we dont know the machine price and interest per year. Maybe some of you can ask the breakdown price cause when I ask, they reluctant to give the breakdown price and insurance must take Comprehensive coverage.

Mah motor quote 15k otr w/o insurance. Interest is at 5% per year

DX quote 14400 otr w/o insurance. Interest also at 5% per year.

So BP has the cheapest price but ultimately is for you guys to decide :)

Looking at the reviews and enthusiasm of these bikes, I think Boon Siew would be making a big mistake if they don't bring them in.

Agree - finally Honda is releasing a range of motorcycles suited for the Class 2A riders in Singapore, and produced in Thailand. Should be eligible for tariff rebates as well as it is an ASEAN product. Let's wait and see...

They say still in negotiations for importation

Somehow I have more confidence in owning a Thailand made Honda, then the India made bikes (Sorry, dukes riders). E.g, the Phantom; well known, CBF150, WaveS!

Recently my friend's Duke 200, valve didn't close after opening and ended up crashing (ouch).

that's what they told me 6 months ago when I asked about the CRF250L and the bike is still not here. I would not hold my breath but hope they have some more sense this time.

Congrats @danielb! :D when will you collect it? Taking a white one? Thanks for the photos!

Doesn't matter where the bike was made honestly.. I've been following the life of the Kawasaki Versys since it started being manufactured in our region, and people were saying this and that.. Truth of the matter is, unless the brand decides to specifically produce a different version of an element, you get the same bike. For example for the Versys, they made for a while a different rear mud guard. It's never the engine parts, it's always stuff that doesn't matter much.

As for bikes being made in India, well, I got nothing else to say than I've been riding my pulsar for 3 years +, it took me to Laos, Vietnam and more, and it's still kicking butt for a 200cc bike made 100% in India ;)

Thanks for the different inputs on the bike prices. A little bit more patience and I think we'll get some detailed reviews of these babies on SG roads.

I do like the Pulsar, but as KTM should have the "build" quality it failed on my friend, perhaps plain unlucky :)

I'm planning to take out the cb400x by this month. So I'm gathering as much as I can now..
