guys, my phantom like got no grip liddat...so planning to change tyres liao...i heard soft compound has better grip but doesnt last long..but i dun mind that, i like grip..sum recommend metzeler...any advice on wat to get n where n price??

get a normal street tyres lah fiz, they have harder compound in the middle section and softer compound in the side sections.. Softer compound will wear faster, not economical for our singapore roads.. Im a proud supporter of bridgstone battlax.. but ive seen many phantom using michelin / metzeler

 

Try to ask mech whether ure due for a change of tyres or issit sumthing else that is causing the "no-grip" feeling.. maybe could be ur shocks or might also be your cone? im just guessing, cause ur tyres look ok to me.. When im riding phantom, i always have this illusion that theres no grip, but then again, its just psychological..

metzeler is slippery on wet surfaces. last time i was using IRC soft compound. super grippy even when on wet surfaces. i think ard 130 plus installation at ah boy.

 

or u can check out unique's tyre prices. they offer very competitive prices for their tyres.

i dunno wat is causing my no grip feeling recently...my tyres may look ok but upon closer look, u'll see that some parts a bit botak..i havent change them since i got my phantom sia..can feel got no grip if u corner..

ahboy does.. u juz nid to pester him abt it.. ha.. the grip on battlax is better bt cuz of tt.. ur FC might be a little lower cuz of the xtra friction.. tt's wad i was told by my other friends.. dunoe if its the same for other bikes thou.. i nt sure if ah boy has size for phantoms but shld have la.. ha.. go ask.. ah boy evtin also have.. haha..

yoyo.. i got my basic cert in 2007.. from apache divers.. heh.. tt time about $450 or so.. now price rise le.. prob ard $510 for basic.. advanced i tink $10-20 more.. can la.. anyone wan learn/go diving together? haha.. flippers quite easy.. juz move ur legs u move liaoz.. currently i'm on advanced.. not much diff act.. only ting is tt u get to do deeper dives.. yeah..
