Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.

So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

ok..

i m doing a prototype of office building for tropical climate like Singapore.

issues: the current building strategies are not ideal for out climate conditions. here, we must consider the energy consumption of current buildings. cooling plays the biggest part.

so, i m tackling this problem from outwards to inwards.. starting with the building envelope (facade).. performative facade systems that can help reduce the cooling load and still not compromise on the daylighting and the "outward looking" views we all want..

sounds like a good one?

I'll start the ball rolling..

An interesting fact I came across while studying Real Estate Development is that.. the proposed new Business Financial Centre which will be developed along the One Raffles Quay Area. That land was transacted at an amount of $1,800,000,000.

Yup.. land only.. Haven't build anything yet. :)

ok i'm studying this, that the riots in s'pore in 1964 and m'sian riots in 1969 was NOT a spontaneous one.. it seems that the riots have been premeditated to consolidate some ppl in power.. interesting!

ok before I begin I need to reiterate that I am not a racist nor am I Malayocentric.. but just to share the Malays are natural environmentalist, so they know what the climate entails.. that's y, Malay kampung all have high roofs(at least the old ones) as a matter of ventilation and allowing for more cool air.. you think this design can be incorporated?? hahhahah..
