ah okay. i forgot to introduce myself. i'm germaine (girl), 19 this year. i was from mjc. i stay around pasir ris. i'm taking my bike license now at CDC, currently at pract 3. i dunno what bike to pick tho', after getting lic. any recommendations? :)

my fren juz passed 2b there oso..he got r15..8k otr...but tink thats overprice..for a 2b bike that is..if u like sporty bike minus the smoke and kick start (wich eno enjoys doing) go for cbr150..if u juz like sports bike, go for sp or kr....i got a gal cousin riding a kr...so kr looks fine wif a lady...

 

when taking ur bike license, dont give up...many pple leave halfway..when u fail, juz book ur next date..eventually u'll pass...juz look at the many gal riders on the road, if they can do it, so can you:cheeky:

 

in the meantime, do join us for our outings...we hav gal riders here too, so u can pillion them if u want...alternatively, there is CS and ENO!

Hello. I'm Eno from NUS year 1 computer engineering. I stay in Tampines and I used to be from Meridian JC class of 2006. (is our famous principal Ms Esther Lai still there?)

 

Since you're taking your prac, make sure you don't stop halfway. A lot of my friends stopped halfway(due to lost in interest). About bikes, it all depends on the specifications of you(you want speed? cheap petrol? looks?)

 

And if your next question is "Is parking at NUS free?" The answer is yes for motorbike and No for cars.

sp - honda

kr - kawasaki

tzm - yamaha

 

they are all 2 strokes..tzm old bike..and can go super fast..last i heard is 190km/h..not sure if there are new production for kr..

 

i dont know much about the difference...its personal preference i guess...some like sp, some like kr..and some people relate the bikes to certain ethnic groups though may not be entirely true...

 

fr more info on technical differences, i guess the rest can enlighten you on this..those riding sports bike before like ash, kitty, iz, ana, etc, etc...

just coz she performs doesnt mean she is good. the students are good. she just gives the students a lil bit of push in many different ways, both good and bad. i dont like the way she shows favouritism.

actually i dont think got that obvious difference with regards to race. maybe tzm n kr very very rare to find a chinese riding. n thats just my own observation.

yeah yeah! she is bias. like for my cca, taekwondo, all along we never really win anything, she don't care us, our budget v little also. then one year got breakthrough and her attitude towards us changed 180deg.. who produce results, who gets more of her attention and praise kinda thing..

hmm, choosing ur course is v impt..ask urself, what u wanna do later on in ur life..u may claim to have interest in psychology, sociology and philosophy, but u really need to know wat the course is about or else u may be basing ur decisions on clouded thoughts..

 

but this shldnt be a problem if ur choosing to go to Arts fac, cos u have the option to take exposure modules (mods wich exposes you to sociology, phychology, etc) in your first year so that u can later on decide wich to major in...

 

do talk to ur peers, frenz, parents, experts abt what u wanna do..
