how much is the roadwin. it looks nice. on average how much money must we cough up for bike maintenance? need to stop shopping and save soon to be able to get bike immediately after lic. haha. do you guys have facebook?

 

Personally, I feel that a spark 135cc wud be a better choice. cheap maintenance, plenty of spare parts, lots of modifications, good fuel consumption, light weight and easier to handle.

 

For your first few mods, I recommend Bridgestone BT39 battleaxe tyres (japan made). Sticky as hell. And do get SBS brake pads. Both items total up to $200.

i think i'm right saying this.. 4 strokers have a lower maintainence compared to 2 strokers of the same displacement category. correct me if i'm wrong.. and with ur engine being the heftiest part of the bike, if its cheap to maintain i think it'll be worth the while..

Do buy a bike that you can afford. Remember KR, SP insurance for P plate are 1k plus. Last heard 1.4k plus. Get ready money just for that insurance.

for your info, my first bike costs me 800 machine price (rxz)...and my current phantom oni costs me less than 1.5k....

 

so, there are many options for u...

 

1. save up more and pay full for ur bike

2. use 1k as downpayment and pay instalments

 

i tink for sp, u can get 2k+ otr...correct me if im wrong...cos coe for new young riders quite high....

Enjoyed the NRC Biker Challenge. Wuahahaha..Things I learn..

 

1) Visit Big Splash first time(lol i thought it was closed)

2)Visit Demsey Hill first time(and found out it was a posh place)

3)Found out abt Bukit Merah Bikes area(and learn tt HKL overprice me for rxz tyre tube $15 omg! im poor)

4)Visit labrador park for the first time(i heard of it)

5)Visited BBDC for the first time(who cares. CDC graduate rulez!)

6)There's also a nice place to chill behind the sengkang cc(or wadever u call it)

7)Visited MotorWorld for first time(and learn tt the $100 HJC helmet still on)

 

Definitely looking forward for next year's challenge.

I waited exactly a year so that my insurance cheaper...slog like a cow during that time so that I can buy my wr2 at $2.4k

 

anyway if u ask for help on getting bike u will get all kinds of answer coz everyone got different opinion

iz will tell u get sparks coz modding is his passion

xianyu suggested roadwin...erm only god knows why

if u ask me I'll say wr2 or xr2

 

so it's best if u know the following:

1. What do u wan to do w the bike? Solely transport? Occassionally play? Make nice2? Get hunks?

2. How much is your budget? If budget does not coincide with ur want u might wanna up ur budget or change ur want

3. Read up on forums, magazines, online on that bike you want... Common problems, maintanence...talk to pple who ride that bike

4. Will u be riding for long or is it just puppy love?
