just checked price to change belt and roller and its only 160 for stock parts. phew i always thought it was more ex then that. can go change alr lo~~yeahhhh.

 

Are u sure u don't want to 1-1 exchange with mine? Mine RK chain u noe. Better than standard DID gold chain. Only never oil for about 3 weeks.

lunloon, actually to tell u the truth i'm planning for a seafood getaway after exams.. along with A&W waffles trip.. as always, we can stagger the group to go in for the A&W.. its not that alot of fun, but its better than leaving the bikes unsecured..

Need opinion guys, recently i posted that my front disc brake are kinda warped.. the thing is.. skimming is a cheaper alternative with $35 per disc.. but several mech told me, dun jeopardise it.. coz if u wanna play track.. a thinner disc brake will not be as efficient.. n besides some mech do not noe how to skim correctly unless they send to those precision metal works..

 

So my next alternative is those flowery disc which cost about $100+ per disc.. but i'm sure the price is reflective of the quality..

 

OEM disc are out of the question, each disc goes way above $400 for each..

 

Any comments?? Skim or Buy flowery disc..

 

skimming is dangerous.. cos u're effectively thinning the material by grinding away the warp parts.. firstly you brake disc will not be used as intended.. secondly, the heat dissipation will be different.. thirdly the thinner material can possibly break or warp in cases of extreme temp and hard braking.. both i think is a common thing on the track.. so since u're using it for track i do not think u should skim it..

 

well there's of cos another argument to this.. being that if its done properly the problems mentioned wouldnt occur.. but why put ur life at risk..

 

thanks my personal opinion.. ya.. i might be wrong too..

 

btw braking set up is not bad.. u might wanna have a view of their discs.. btw i think its called wave disc.. not flowery.. haha...

 

issac do comment.. this is from what i know.. i might be horribly wrong too..

ok put it this way.. they overhauled his sp.. and it ended up with a nsr rr piston.. and tore up the block.. so overhaul again.. and the price was pretty high.. ya.. its from my first degree friend and not those hear say hear say.. but then again.. i think depends on luck ba.. lol..
