Cant really see her face leh

Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

OK moving along...

Took posession of the big ScooTer yesterday, and took it out to Kulai for seafood with a bunch of old timers (40-50 year old bikers).

First impressions: Definitely an "uncle" bike.

The old FJR was a bucking horse, twist the trottle and you are pushed back into the saddle, kick up to 4000 rpms and you are left with your breath kicked out of you.

The big ScooTer, however, is what I would call "refined". There is no sweet spot in the rev range where the "surge" comes in. Its totally flat. However, crank up the throttle and its do some serious (if flat) accleration... does that make sense? I guess you have to feel it to make sense of it.

There is no sense of speed, or at least, a sense of speed that I'm used to even at 180 km/h

Furthermore, its a very light bike once you get past first gear. In fact it handles about the same as a 400cc bandit; you can throw the bike around corners without problems. I would dare say not many 300kg bikes would be comfortable to corner at less than 45 degrees to the ground...

Lots of fun at Esso GP with the old timers playing with the electric windscreen, Electric motorised headlights (controlled from dashboard), and of course, the seat height adjustment mechanism. Took me an hour to figure out how to open the seat.

Installings some goodies (including a HID light) this upcoming week...

Me interested in installing this alarm on my bike

http://page.auctions.shopping.yahoo.com/sg...17?aucview=0x23

but a bit sceptical because its on the low side ($), warranty 30 days and no brand.

The 3 alarm brands i know of are Cheetah, Acumen and Police ( i tink)

Any advice, scooterer (since u so knowledgeable abt stuff like this) i think ur FJR also got immobilizer rite, not sure whether electronics will clash. Or anyone out there with installed alarms

I won't vouch for the "no brand" as I have no idea what it is. But in general, no for acumen and cheetah; I have no idea about "police"

Most alarms at the 'cheapo' range are self contained boxes that just need power supply.

So they won't interfere with your immobiliser.

Its the high end stuff that you have to worry about, because they have all kinds of funky settings which need to work with a bike's immobiliser.

Suggest we stop creating more and more publicity for her. Even posts like the link above just create more publicity.

I have deleted all previous posts on this issue and will make no more comments on this.

This post will self destruct by Tuesday.

Bad news, I can't make it on Thursday Lunch as I have been 'invited' to lunch by a bunch of people (all higher rank than me) from my Institute. If somehow can shift the lunch I will be there (i.e. Wed or Fri). I'll bring the Big ScooTer if I come.
