Umm firstly, don't illegally park on the pavement. THere are campus cops who do make regular checks, and you'll get a warning from the sch. It threatens that the sch will report you to the real cops, but I've yet to hear of anyone getting into that much trouble. But don't tempt fate.

 

HOWEVER, there are certain parts of NUS where CISCO rent-a-cops have been hired to patrol. They can issue you REAL summons, so don;'t play play. They also frequently go by Fong Seng, so be careful if you park there.

 

Other than that, parking's free @ the carparks, although some of the carparks are quite far from the places you may want to go. If you want to go to the central library, there's a sheltered carpark for bikes jsut next to it. It's a bit hidden, but it's where the sheltered staff parking is.

no lah...most of them are malaysians..pretty ok...like for me @ sci fac...if i park near medicine there..have to walk a long way to the other S blocks..but if park with the workers...park next to building lor..near sci club room..haha

Dunnu. hate them for levering out the lots behind s14. now i see all the malaysian bikes at the carpark of SOC1, but messy. SOC 1 buildg itself have abt 10 lots at its foot. Take the lifts at the double lift lobby to 3rd flr n walk over the bridge. will hit to s15. get down n will be on familiar grounds liao.

 

But honestly if not enuff lots can xiao-lan the sch authorities one..... Last time they put warning letter on my bike in pgp for parking for the porch. I shoot back no bike parking on the premise. They say okie for me to park car lot. Next day kana another warning letter but when i send back wat they said to me in the email, they never disturb my bike liao. So bike park car lot w/o payg. =)

Lotsa construction workers' bike at LT27 that carpark, damn packed! and now the SOC1 big carpark also bikes anyhow park already... just not enough lots manz...

 

Last time the sci there so many lots all gone!! EVen last time already not enough... now still remove!! Plus so much construction going on, the kup kias all occupy so much space also!!

I just got one today. I parked on the pavement outside the Extension Blocks (where the old KR and Sheares Halls used to be). Why? Coz they demolished the carpark along with the old halls!!!! Had to pass something to a friend living in the Extension Blocks, so lan lan. The nearest carparks were so far away.

 

Anyway, i didn't get the pink warning letter...I got a "Notice of A Traffic Offence" from the Office of Estate and Development.

 

Says "A traffifc ticket notice will be issued to the registered owner of this vehicle under section blah blah blah in due course"

 

Damn scared i'll get a $70 summon. I've already emailed the security manager asking if I can appeal, hopefulyl before they send the data up to the TP.

i'm riding a yellow s4.. i always park at the old admin blk one.. maybe can say hi to u if get to c u...although u need to call out to me first cos there are a lot of phantoms wif that colour down there....

o dere ah... i only park dere wen i study at da central lib. hmm..yellow s4?? shld b quite easy to spot.
