yo ash, actually u are able to calculate out the capital cost of ur bike, machiam like a building or property. Much more simple then calculate buildings propertiesIf u get new bike, do periodic maintenance properly, ur bike can last very long like my scoot. But if u never do proper maintenance(save $), or duno how to do or kena con by shop($ wasted) say not necessary to do, then abt 5 years liao problem start to surface. Then it is even more difficult & expensive to rectify. Efficieny drop, makan more fuel, lack of power....blah blah..... not economy to own the bike anymore cos high cost to maintain.But if regularly maintain then not much problem.Same analogy as those 20 ~ 30years buildings, those who do regular maintenace for their M&E system after 20~30years still ok swee swee. Those never do proper maintenance electricity bill every month so high but aircon not cold. But newer aircon system can now reduce power by 30% & have better features. Sometimes maybe better to change new systemSo is see whether which situation u in now? My english so fook up, hope u can understand

yo ash, if u understand abt DIY bike maintenance, capital costing lifecycle, take to shop service or ownself DIY if u got knowledge..do cost comparsion which way better ....etc, then going out to work next time in building, manufacturing or wat ever will be exactly same principles. but of course more cheem

Correct leh. I religiously change fully syn EO at 5000km and Oil Filter, Spark PLugs, Coolant, Clean Air FIlter at 10,000km.. Then those things required changing.. i straightaway change.. but still like that.. hahaha sianz..

 

I guess its about time to do a major overhaul of the bike shud i wanna keep it.. but then again.. i'd rather save it for sumthing else.. i'll just use the bike for transport to n fro school... no long distance touring for the bike now..

 

Thanks for the a diff perspective on building.. I still cant find the stupid efficiency ratio and financing cost..

Correct leh. I religiously change fully syn EO at 5000km and Oil Filter, Spark PLugs, Coolant, Clean Air FIlter at 10,000km.. Then those things required changing.. i straightaway change.. but still like that.. hahaha sianz..
