are they one of our `naked bike lovers'(no pun here either) kakis..........they can hang with us @ MA DEEN.

I am sure they'll boost the attendance weekly but we must stress shoes and helmets though.

Does anyone run their monsters without the rear hugger? What are the pros & cons of removing it? I noticed Super4s don't come with huggers.

Do you DIY a chainguard or how do you prevent or reduce splatter? Please post some pics if you can. Thanks!

did you loose your hugger?or is it damaged?

 

Monster hugger is your bike first line of defense agaisnt

 

splater from road,chain to your bike parts like suspension and other places to difficult or access to mention.

 

it is also your 1st and last line of defense if your chain shoild come off and abt to whip your bike or leg to shreds.if your your leg or engine block (ive seen it destroyed an engine)survive this its bcause you kept the hugger on.

 

I've been stoped by ROV for having my hugger on.why?

they thought i have no chain guard and wanted to fine me,until i pointed the folly of their assumptions.

Frankly its pointless to compare super4s and ducati.if you like a bike without huggers get the super4,without chain guards get a dirtbike.

 

if its a monster you are riding,appreciate the difference it is from other makes.

Thanks for the detailed explanation on chainguards & huggers. I have a carbon fibre hugger but one of the tabs holding it to the swingarm broke and I had to take the whole thing off to repair. Repairs are done and the hugger is ready to be reinstalled. I didn't know the implications of riding without one, thanks for the warning. I'm putting it back on before my next ride.
