So what will be the consequences if i fit a 180 rear tyre into 10R's stock 6 inch rim?

Will the ride height be lower or higher?

Thanks!

according to wat i read and understood.. 180/55 shd b for 5" inch rim while 190/50 or 190/55 shd b 6" rim...

there shd not be any side effect in damaging the rim...

55 by nature will be taller then 50 so if i am not wrong.. squeezing a 180/55 on a 6" rim will make the nature 180/55 be shorter abit.. but still taller den 190/50, giving it an extra height boost..

if were to fit 190/55 on a 6" rim.. it will be high =)

and fat as well..

hope its right..

A few of us are using Gi-pro.. not a bad device..

yup.. heard dat b4.. but i dun feel like fitting more tings to my tacho side.. haha.. make it as clean as possible... mayb i old fashion...

tre is juz enuff for me..

juz some experience:

The bike feels abit lag from 1-4k rpm and after dat the power slowly gains and i can feel the power of the bike. (w/o tre)

The bike p/u fine from 1-4k rpm/ But from 4-7k rpm, i feel a flat power. Speed still goes up but dun feel any surge.. till it reaches 7k rpm and ups. (with tre)

Thats my finding of my tre and my 10. Not sure if it shd work like dat...

Hi,

Had not installed yet. ( last week was out of town again). This week also might be out of town. Most likely will be free only on early JUN only.

The 2CT is a good tyre but out of budget.

So, the only one which is whithin my budget and can last long is the BT015 lor.

The price i got is from a shop in Malaysia. So, exchanage rate etc etc...looks a lil bit chaeper in Malaysia.

oic.. do update us on the result of the tyres ya~~~!!

anyway.. u can use 190/55 also.. but 180/55 works fine la.. although i read some forum dat its dat as stable as 190/50 or 190/55

they say its meant for dat bike and if not.. why comes in oem..

but den.. diff ppl diff perception... :thumb:

The 190/55 certainly is a fun tire.. if im not wrong its the 06 10R's oem rear. Any idea if 2ct is bringing in 190/55 ?

Yup, it is. If possible, do try out the different size and profile tire out and experience the effect they have on your bike's geometry.

Due to the different riding style each individual has, it would not be advisable to stick to 1 particular size and profile.

OEM size or profile might not be the best choice for you it is just that you have acustomed to the tire natural and its effect.

Just like why some people like this brand of tire and why not that brand.

Suix, have you checked the price of Afam sprockets and gold chain?

$250 onwards . . depending on size and type of chain seal.

heee.. thnx....

actually if u use 190/50 u also can make it works like 180/55

but nid some work in adjusting the fork as well as the rear shocks like wat some usa forum recommends...

tot of using 190/50 but not confident to do the set up accurately...

190/55 mite be abit too high for me.. if keep the present configuartion...

180/55 works juz nice..

hmm.. kinda in a dileamma.. but i like the looks of 190.. its rear fat.. :thumb:

Hi,

Yes...the 190/55 will make the bike turn in corner faster. no doubt about it. It's proven. Infact, all the track tires is 55 coz can take cormer faster mah.

Track tire don't have 50.

My bike already high for me now. Have to tip toe if down the slope.

Somemore if put 55, it will be higher.

50 aready almost touch the hugger; just slight clearance only.

If 55, most likely confirm touching hugger liao.

If u r using 190/55 on a 10R 04/05 u definately got to change ya hugger or add washers to accomodate the tire.

cos 06/07 no hugger in stock condition... if am not wrong...

Change to an aftermarket hugger u mean?

Mine using 190/55, not touching hugger.

Changing to a aftermarket hugger is another option. I remembered when my hugger couldn't fit when i 1st installed the 190/55.. Raf and Suix was there too.. there wasn't any allowance so the mech hd to add washers to my hugger.
