Well from what i read. Its a ZX10 slight mod frame to fit the ZX12 Front AIr RAM with the ZZR14 front Crowling, ZX6R Rear, and a Ducati 1098 Swingarm. If you got the Money What the heck built it. hehehe

It's just a photoshop done by the PB guys. This month's issue if i'm not mistaken.

Yup. But very cool looking. Who has any intention in making it real?

hehehe

the rear looks easier to mod.

Hi all,

I had asked around last time whether can they fit the zx10 2006 rear to the 2004/05 model. They say Cannot.

Then I also asked around whether can they fit the zx636 rear to the zx10 04/05. They also say cannot.

They told me that they need to drill hole on the rear chasis, welding....bla..bla..bla..

Then they say...no guarantee. Can break one if carry pillion. And the stability can be not so stable.

Haiyo...

In fact last time before I buy zx10, I also asked around whether can they mod the under seat pipe of the cbr1000 and put it the the side (under seat always hot during jam).

They also said cannot. That's why I left with only two chice either K5 or zx10. And I decided to buy the zx10.

Do you guys know where can we find the good reliable shops which can perform this kind of good/reliable mod?

Who is "they"????

06/07 rear wheel hub is different from 04/05. zx6 rear wheel is narrower than zx10.

What exactly do you want to do to your bike? Trying to swap the rear wheel for one that doesn't fit is not a good or reliable mod.

As for the exhaust...what?

Not the rear tyre.

It is the rear set (the place where the pillion sit). The whole platic/fibreglass attachment. This got nothing to do with the tyre nor the swing arm.

As for the exhaust...this is tottaly different subject. I thought of mod the underseat exhaust of the CBR1000 to run at the side. As you know, CBR1000 exhaust is under the seat, right.

I want to mod to make the exhaust at the side ; something like CBR 954.

But.."they" told me cannot.

"They" means the various shops in SG.

for cbr i saw one repsol got one arrow exhaust with one underseat and one at the side.. quite cool!!

but i doubt the rear can change jus like dat.. there are quite some diff between new models and old models... as well as 636... unless u import from oversea where they have integrated signals...

Cannot sometimes doesn't means cannot. Sometimes it means they donno.

The rear is usually link by sub-frames. If you are willing to come out the money and customerize a totally new sub-frame. Exhust linkage can be redo as well. But all i can say is. Above mentions are not LTA Approved. Thats why singapore is a place with not much nice bike design around and Customizer around. Talents can't survive here. Boring....

Ohh you wanna change the rear subframe. But why? Only idea i can think of is if you get a custom one from a specialist builder overseas, like Spondon in the UK. An alternative would be to get a 2nd hand subframe off ebay and get a local shop to do some customising/cutting and welding too it, and get some custom fibreglass bodywork for it. Depends on what you really want to do, maybe just some aftermarket tail pieces might be what you're looking for.

As for the fireblade exhaust, like OFFICIAL mentioned, arrow does have tail and sidemount exit motogp styleexhaust systems for it. I heard Unity has brought in a street legal moriwaki gp style exhaust for it too. Both of these have are twin exit systems though, one pipe from the tail still and one R6/gixxer 600/750 style pipe from the right.

Yeap, maybe the word "cannot" mean "donno".

So, no other alternative other that just ride how the bike being built originally.

But anyway, the OFFICIAL's signature really caught my attention. At least they should have the colour scheme like this. Our original zx10 is just plain colour without much stickers/decals unlike the CBR which is very racing looking one.

You should send the signature to the Kawi Japan..so that the designer will get the idea on their next project/design. And they might reward you with a brand new 10R. He..he..he.

But..pls leave the exhaust at the side coz the underseat exhaust not practical in our hot climate.

About the exhaust issue, I thought of just leave the under tail exhaust on the cbr1000 as it is but without any function. Just keep it there for the look lor.

And fix/use the side exhaust (moto GP look) for the real exhaust function.

But during that time...they say cannot.

Maybe they do not have the parts yet.

This was in 2005.

My main reason for the above is those under tail exhaust heat up fast the rider's seat during jam and also the tail light turns yellow/stain after sometime and some even melted after long time. The heat also seem to cause some problem on the electronics which is just above the pipe. These I saw on a couple of my friends CBR 1000.

so far the closest i had seen is the moto gp style from arrow.. one under seat one at the side (RHS)

if u realy wan... mayb can try take a full system and get some brand of pipe which makes it a the side... mix and match but the result may not b very very perfect too

Well no worries because your bike has a sidemount exhaust, let the underseat people worry about their underseats. Or do you also own a fireblade?

Hi Ayuluv,

Ha...changed your avatar meh??

Yeap...they told me that the mod (to run the pipe at the side) will affect the stabilty and the weight of the bike and performance.

In short...they say that the mod of the pipe to the side for CBR1000 is not a good idea.

Heard that the Japanese might be doing like Kawi. As you know the zx10 04/05 which have the pipe at the side can have it mod to under tail.

So, now the honda might do the same as well. They may design the bike to have the pipe either on the side or the undertail.

Let's wait for the cbr1000 2008 model. Maybe they may have it this interchangeble system like the Kawi 04/05 for their CBR1000 2008 model.

Or it might be "wait long long" story....

Nope, I don't own a CBR1000...

I suppose to buy the CBR1000 last time...but the undertail exhaust system "told me" not to buy.

That's why I bought 10R. He..he..he.

For those of us who want to run or are currently running 190/55 rears, continental has a new tire out called the raceattack, apparently one step up from the sportattacks. Ah tak says they're not in locally yet, hopefully they get here soon and keep up their tradition of bringing in 190/55s like the sportattack.

With the michelin fuss going on, i'll probably not be going with mich for my next set of tires.

My current set of power races are getting shagged, but they've lasted me 6 months so i can't complain. I'll be using luanne's set of OEM qualifiers (she's switched to sportattacks) until there's more news about the raceattacks.
