You have to tell us what you are expected to do with a notebook.

Review each and everything on this list and tell us, are you more or less of:

  • A productive user? (i.e. Type reports using MS Word, open image files, work related stuff)
  • A gamer? (i.e. Warcraft, high resolution simulation games, your need to eg. use a joystick or game console with your computer)
  • Designer or developer? (i.e. Photo editing and touchup, image manipulation, flyer publishing, sound recording engineering)
  • Geeky coder? (i.e. Web development, C+, Java)

Along with the intention of making your wallet happy, this list should give us a clearer picture on your intentions with the purchase of a notebook so that we can narrow down the right notebook for you.

huh, average price? u know, average price can be 1k, 2k or 3 k lah. Anyway go to Sim Lim if u really want to buy one. Very competitive over there, so make sure u recee first. And one thing to take note, avoid bargaining with the shops, because as far as i know and can tell, the lower the price u bargain, the lesser standard accessories u will get.. so if u r a hard core bargainer, don't be surprised that u bought a laptop without battery, or lucky worse, no adapter.................... then when u bo bian top up for the items, u might not realise it will be more expensive than the original price u saw............. shopping in Sim Lim require a lot of counter-strategy.

I know about this issues. If you got a foreign frenz wanting to buy electronics stuffs, best to get those familiar in the products to go down simlim and get it for him, check all the products, all the necessaries before paying, if anything missing, just ask, if he give you crap reasons, then just leave. He can scold you all he wanted, but in the end, if you bought it, you are the loser, not him.

As for laptop, personal computer, I will recommand getting laptop from the original source, like Acer, from Acer, etc, so Funan will be a better and safer place to shop for laptop. Though it can be slightly more expensive, like maybe 100 - 200 more, but think about the future, what kind of problem you might face and is the 100 -200 more worth it in Sim lim?

Personal computer, sim lim will be good, but if you not good with computer, get someone good in them, source out the good price and check everything.

In short, dun know, dun anyhow whack, whack wrong, you lugi..
