no need to take out batt if its just 20day. but if you want to playsafe and do take out.... do insulate the cable, loose cable touching the batt terminals might cause sparking. that will damage the elect system. the correct removing method is to remove +ve first follow by -ve and fixing back is the opposite.

I think it should be the other way round: remove the -ve cable first and then the +ve cable. Otherwise, arcing will occur at the battery's terminal if the +ve cable is first removed. To reinstall, +ve cable first and then -ve cable.
