when is ur last time u do ur throttle body sync?

my last babe is almost constant at 300km when hit reserve.

Does that means that the FC is about 15km/l since the fuel tank is 25l and reserve is 5l?

Guys, just curious to know how your FC is.

How far can you go before reserve?

I've been monitoring mine and found it to be inconsistent.

Does that mean a problem?

Grade of petrol used is Shell 98

Date Before Reserve

21.06.07 310KM

02.07.07 283.8KM

10.07.07 309.1KM

19.07.07 289.8KM

Hope some experienced ones can help me shed some light on this phenomenon. Thanks!

Dun be mislead by the last bar blinking when you just switch on the ignition switch with the bike on its side stand. It can be back to two bars after you ride for a while. Another way is start your ignition switch with the bike upright.

The best way to calculate your FC is to pump full, travel and take note of the mileage at your trip meter, den pump full. Den just take (trip meter dist)/(litres pumped)

Dun use the fuel guage, its not as accurate.

ever ppl tried on reserve is 86km..then gotta push bike liao

Bro..my last TBS was 16 Nov 2006, about 9000KM ago.

My rough gauge of our fuel before reserve is 19.5litres..so 300KM will mean FC of:

300 / 19.5 = 15.38KM/litre only wat..who says got around 17-18? :giddy:

Hmmm..looks like FC for '06 models and above are better. Nt sure if it's due to 'younger' engine.

Any comments whether PC will 'really' improve FC since the unit is able to map out fuel efficiency? Thinking of getting one...Hmmm...

happy_cookies's engine is not yung any more :cheeky: his average milleage clocked per year is even higher then omni's :cheeky:

anyway if u thinking of install a PC3 on ur babe have to depend on ur own. heard from unity motor that install a PC3 (without after market end can) will greatly improve ur low end torque that wont be so jerky while riding in city area with 1st or 2nd gear. but this nuclear bomb will cost u 630bucks including installation & dyno jet. :giddy:

Nope, after remus, my FC becomes better. Most of the time, after market pipes improves FC.

Wah.... Thats really long ago.... suppose to service every 10K, change every 20. Anyway, the price of the filter went down again? Rmb someone said its $40. Must be due to falling Yen.

bro casper... sometime pumping the oil too play apart....if u pump till the brime there most of the time u can still pump anothe dollar or 2 more. pump alittle by a little and the petrol will go down...that is wat i always do if i go malaysia to pump ..but i always wonder where is this petrol slowly going too?it does not even spill out like last time my S4?? and it will give better millage too... mine 340km still got one more bar too go.
