Sorry, but is the Southern Motors you recommend, the one besides Albert Motor, at Bukit Merah Lane?? Thot that one is New Southern??

its the other one,the older southern.

its up to individual experience with mechanics cause so far me n friends had been looking him up for our bike repairs.

others might have different experiences n prefer other mechanics to deal with their bikes.

but i find him unfriendly though at the first time i went there but after a while he is alright.

Erm got something to confirm.

Heard from mechanics that '06 onwards models of FJRs require 2 sets of brake pads per brake caliper! That means 6 sets of brake pads for both front and rear! OMG! That's a lot! Wun that burn a hole in the pocket just renewing brake pads!

6 X S$60 = S$240 (Self-Install somemore)

From my assessment, Old Southerns / Ah Heng is really good at electrical parts of the bike. Must look for him if you need Xmas lightings on your babe. Other areas of works haben test him yet.

Yes Bro! Actually Norman from I-Motoring quoted mi 25.8K (everything except insurance).

I'm 30 dis year and i applied for 1st party comprehensive insurance from AXA which cost me 1.6K.

Hence my FJR OTR = 25.8 + 1.6 = 27.4K

FYI.

brake pad for FJR model:

before 06' is 3sets in total (front 2sets & rear 1set)

06',07' is 5sets in total (front 4sets in 2 caliper, & rear 1set)

for 06',07' model front brake pad share with Suzuki Burgman, hence it will be a little hard to find for aftermarket brake pad..
