Actually looking at the price checks,

 

We should do a listing like the Super4 parts list, check out from different shops and then post it here, i'll try to put up something like a spreadsheet, once my exams are over aft Nov 9th should be able to start compiling something so everyone can share within the group and the changes in the prices across the Shops, Some market research would do some good for all of us, would require support from all the brudders alrite....Will keep you guys informed of the progress once the exams are over. kekekeke

i did my own coolant changed..

 

haha flushed with vineger and distilled water...

then after that changed to water wetter...

 

took 4 hours to take out my fairing. haha

 

Yet to change but intending to do so real soon.

HKL quoted me S$35, inclusive of workmanship.

Hi, I'm also planning to get a FJR next month. My answers are based on my own research and answers which the other old-birds here gave me when I asked the same qtns. I asked them abt fuel consumption, and the 20km/litre is possible, depending on the style of riding. It can range from abt 18km/l to 21.5m/l even (this is what the other riders here told me).

 

Personally, i think its better to get a new one, as the price difference from a new one to a 2nd hand one from a few yrs back is not much, since the price of a new FJR has dropped significantly now. But judging from the looks of the 2008 model, I think it's likely to go up again next year.

bro casper.. a bottle of water wetter i got from a guy here.. he sellinh for 20 per bottle.. but a bottle can be use a few times.. i have a supplier outside that can get for $17..

 

i bought a bottle of vineger and 5 bottle of distille water to do my own flushing as they say usuing a car flushing coolant is too strong..

 

and then use the disttile water and water wetter only.. ask around too the say tap water still have impureities still not advisable to go with water wetter..

well this one i can vouch for, cos more oxidising agents my previous WR used to have more rusty spots inside the radiator due to my use of Water, but as i have marine tank, hehehe use my Di-unit water for flushing but must wait long long la.

Sorry guys, there's an admendment on the sale. selling at 16k firm and number plate will not be selling with bike as it belongs to bike shop.

How long can stretch the loan and also whats the interest rate? Roughly per mth, how much you paying? Any down payment?

just come back from HL, MR. Lee was scolding at me.

The reason is due to my slider mount directly onto chasis.

 

for older model (pre 06'), there is 2 ways to mount our slider.

1. make holes on fairing & mount direct onto chasis.

2. use bracket mount on chasis, then mount slider over the bracket.

 

The reason MR. Lee kao peh is he just scrap a FJR which has accident badly, the main reason of scrap is becoz of direct mount slider onto chasis & chasis crack during accident. main reason suspect is impact on slider & slider didn't break & cause chasis to break.

FJR lovers pls beware.

Someone mentioned sometime ago that Hong Leong don't sell to end-user directly, while someone else mentioned that they do. I asked the guy at Hong Leong myself when I went to see the showroom FJR.

 

They do sell to end-user directly.

 

Btw, its a very worthwhile visit, although you don't get to try sitting on the bike. Can get an original FJR brochure for free!

don't think so bro, they will probally tell u since is not a OEM or ODM yamaha accessories, hence no claim can be done.

Asia is diff from europe country where smoker get cancer & sucessfully sued & claim millions of $$ claim from tobacco manufacturer.

& if u wanna proceed on yamaha they will tell u lots of craps.

wondering ur company wanna hire more ppl not? im thinking to join ur company leh. my current company & job seems doesn't allow me to search & ask around "who is riding that FJR" leh..

& since ur job scope allow u to have those times, can i ask a favour from u? go to LTA & pay 5bucks per bikes to search all the owner of FJR? then tell them we all are really super duper interested wanna know them all? i think they must be very please to know u as well. But oh yeah, pls remember to bypass FBB661 hor, or else u will waste 5 bucks. & pls bypass FU7 & FY6678 as well, that's my bike. LEAVE THEM ALONE.
