what a lot of discussion on engine oils.... if u go google there is an ongoing debate all over the world about what engine oil to use for motorycles or scooters. Can car oils be used for bikes etc etc............ The main thing is to change the oil often! That is all, be it mineral oil/ semi syn or full synt just change it often. As long as u change it often and regularly, u would have lesser engine problems. Remember changing oil is chaeper than changing metal parts in the engine.

while changing EO regularly is recommended n important but still have to see what EO u change. I was not choosy on EO on my previous bikes until I owned superfour for first time. Nowadays i change my EO every 5000 km but the engine still feels rough. I m using 10w40 but semi synthetic from mobil if i remember correctly. I going to move up to use fully synthetic for next oil change. maybe try the recommended amsoil or Motul eventually

But rmb, scooter engines don't have a clutch or transmission inside. Means its very easy on the oil. 3k to 5k km on even conventional oil is fine. Go ahead and use branded boutique oils if u can afford it, but just saying that it will be fine on cheaper car or heavy duty oils as well. :)

whatever puts your mind at ease w/o burning your wallet.

Maintain oil level and strict oil change interval, thats the most important.
