I own VFR 800. Recently,I had a problem with my bike. When i release the clutch, the bike stalled. I decided to send the bike for repair at RxxxWxxx. I was told to wait 5 1/2 hrs to get the bike done. I was fine with it because they only charged me about $25,thinking that should be worth waiting since they charged me a very good price. After I've collected my bike,I realised the problem was still there. I met a guy somewhere and he recommended me to go to HKL to get the bike done. I decided to give a try. I met the boss,Benny and informed him what happened to bike. He told me about the bike repair. He even told me to watch his mechanic do my bike. They showed me the problem, the damaged part. I had to pay about $100 plus for everything but I don't mind. I rather pay more getting the problem fix at once than keep coming back to repair the bike. I'm really happy with the service HKL has provided me and of course i'm not going to RxxxWxxx anymore. It's just a waste of time and money!

Thank you for your feedback.

I apologise for the inconveniences you've suffered.

It should be a mistake on our part, as Race Werks had never charged for job not done.

Let me know : when did you come for the repairs / receipt, I shall refund you the $25 as well as a token.

Norman can be reached at 97681429, if you cannot call for some reasons, the email is norman@RaceWerks.com.sg

Glad that you found another workshop to help you, as usually it is the other way around.

Cheers

Hi Heila5

Thanks for your feedback.

We do not sell bikes @ Race Werks, the mass of bikes, outside/ around our shop, are all in for repairs.

Taking into account we are twice bigger at our new doorfront/shop didn't help. The big amount of Cubs/Mopeds, scare the new Big Bikes, vice versa, the daily turnard of Superbikes, scared away newbies who wasn't recommended to us.

We are happy that regulars always left the bike for us to go thru their bikes with time & dedication.

Hope that your friends are not plentiful

Cheers

Hi Tiku,

In the quest for better QC and workmanship, many new 'heads' had rolled, although the originals mechanics are still with us.

The workshop is overworked, but we couldn't get 'good new hands' worthy of Race Werks reputation yet.

This feedback, instead proven our resolutions and remind us to be on the toes, improving our work.

Thanks for being with Race Werks all these while, despite some niggles you had experienced.

Thanks

Sorry for holding up your bikes, we just want to do a better job.

These customers today @ Race Werks, or 'phantom' owners :) can't be wrong.

4 mechs on ground only for today:

X8 Piaggio

KR150

GSR600

MV F4

ZX10 & 6

3 x R6

RVF

CBR400, 600 and 2 1000s

and

a bunch of Ducati...

and a bunch of gixxers, no time do yet outside the shop... cannot rely on 1 post warriors to clock up a lousy biz

Plus the riders/owners are all not around now after leaving the bikes in the morning, and went to enjoy their B>M>W, coming back to pick up only later.

Dear riders, sorry for the lapses, in case you have to wait longer than expected, please call us @ 62732203 or 67462203 this week to confirm a job slot before coming down to Race Werks, as we are quite packed after the long weekend holidays

The 1st and 3rd posts are suspicious. Newly registered and first post in SBF criticize a shop and promote another. Hope its not some cheap advertising... I have visited many shops including the shop complained of and have been satisfied with their services. Like many other shops, bike shops, car shops I have been to, sometimes problem is not resolved immediately and requires a follow up visit. Mechanical parts are like that. Most rationale, seasoned bikers know that.

Im a regular customer at RW for years, and i will definitely go there over and over again as I have good experiences at the shop for my bike.

The boss is very down to earth. The mechanics are very patient and knowledgeable. Be it a small thing like adjusting ur suspension or be it a major thing like overhauling the bike, whatever u need to know, approach them and they explain to u patiently and in a way that u can understand.

Just did a overhaul for my bike recently and the mechanics did a great job. I do not gain anything by promoting them and I do not see the need to as Iam only sharing my true experiences at the shop.

When a shop, be it a bike or car shop, ask u to leave ur vehicle there and go, it does not mean that they do not dare to open it up in front of u. It only means that they have too many customers coming in & they do not want u to waste ur time waiting there for them to finish up. Its for ur own good anyway. If not for the shop being good, why is there so many customers going there? Or maybe u can try asking the regular customers of RW. And pls take a look at their hardworking mechanics who sweat day & night, despite having a long queue of customers coming in.

Dont be too quick to judge a shop based on just one visit.

Pls think before u post.

If u have any problems with ur bike/shop, u can clarify it straight with the boss/mechanics as they are very friendly and can explain to u nicely. By posting on a forum abt ur experiences at a particular shop, and in the next sentence, talking abt another shop, only shows one thing... Figure it out urself. Thank u.

My own quote : There is no shortcut to success, u have to work hard & sincerely to reach ur goal, not by trying to bring down someone else.

PS : This is a real account & my personal opinion.

I have never been to the shop that's being "promoted" here but notice they have a lot of branches so they must be successful and doing something right to make their customers happy... so I trust they are not behind this cheap effort... but if they are, I think its disgusting... hope they don't continue to disparage all bikes shops 1 by 1...

Feels like clones doing the job, another 1 promoting

I got to agree on that. He did a great job on my ex-GSR, went the extra mile to wait for my bike to arrive at his workshop late on Saturday evening so my bike won't be left outside the shop.

No one is perfect, not even Race Werks.

Our only competitor is ourselves, and that is hard, striving to better ourselves daily.

Guess the proof in the pudding, is the support of all of Race Werks' customers.

Take a stroll around Alexandra when u guys are free.

The amount of work/bikes/riders at our shop daily, compared with the rest, be it 3 branches or wat, is enormous.

Help us to recommend good mechanics to Race Werks to improve our manpower & output!!!

Thank you again : )

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!
