izzit harder to steal after installing SK Suspension Protector...

just need to know as i wanted to get a super 4

will be harder as its a welding process.

Seng Kwang is reputable for their protectors, no doubt about it. Though they did not do a good welding job on mine, just hope that they dun miss cue on other bikes. Overall satisfied with the protector but not on the welding appearance.

because i heard that changing the seals will result in leaking more easily in future? esp when the seals r not spoilt..

:faint:

i dun understand the logic. seals r like 0-rings... if its worn off, u replace it. so why new seals result in 'easier' leak?

of cos u can choose not to replace it, but when it's worn, u still need to change it. when u do so, u still change fork oil again.

Had a very bad experience on installing suspension protector.

after installing the protector, my seat cant close properly. (Version S)

Gonna really use hard force to push it down.

Ver S owners, any ways to rectify this problem ?

ya, same problem, found a way out. instead of pushing downwards after you cover, try sliding method.

1) Cover up the seat as usual

2) move the seat abit backward

3) Slide in the seat by pressing down and forward. Usually one try can already.

Hope this help.

you can do the reverse screw securing.....the bottom securing nut instead of outside in do inside out(but must remove rear tyre to do that)....anyone wanting to stunt your suspension gota REMOVE your rear tyre to get at the screw....much initial labour but worth it.....

The suspension had two securing point. One going near to the seat and the other going near to the rear wheel spocket.

Reverse the bolt of the bottom potion of the rear suspension;meaning, the nut facing outside, bolt head facing inside. vtec maybe different. if by reversing the bottom bolt and it wasn't block when you try to remove it, then it is pointless to do this.

Prob can get your mechanic to when you do serving. Save you the trouble. :goodluck:

this control cable is lose fit so the easy way is to secure it with a cable tie.

I dont have a picture to show. Check with that Planet mechanic that ride a scrambler. I am also thinking of welding the suspension.

If ur bike is a more than 8 year old bike, I would suggest u change the shocks.

Cos I have few friends even after service the rear sus still leaked oil. So no point

spending $2-300 and end up leaking oil. Most old S4 shocks are getting too old.

This is part of tear and wear.

How about bitubo?

Just add a bit and sell ur shock off to those not rising S4 but want a showa. If ur shock are still in good condition.
