Hi all, was asked if can co-ordinate a ride up Hatyai in Oct/Nov 13...so far 2 has shown interest.....both 400cc bikes. I am just checking if anyone else interested ?

 

Average speed - 120-140 km/hr

Date options : 12-16 Oct , 2-6 Nov , 14-18 Nov.

 

I am riding a VTX 1300. My HP is 92477248.

17 Nov 13 is the Loykrathong and YiPeng Festival in Thailand (lanterns in water and the skies).

You may want to consider.

Looks good.... date likely to be 14-18 Nov(most request date). Will call for a meeting sometime in early Oct, meantime comms can be by whatsapps.

Hi, guys the trip plan and to do stuff....

 

Duration: 0500(14 Nov) - 2059(18 Nov) = 5D/4N.

Destination: Hatyai Town. Hotel : Florida Hotel (TBN)

Meeting Time/Move Out Location: 0500hrs(5am Thursday Morning) 14 Nov 13 @ GP Esso(2nd Link).

Group Travelling Speed: 110-130km/hr

Round Trip Coverage: Less than 1800km

 

Itinerary

14/11/2013 Thursday

0500 - Meet at GP Esso (2nd Link) & Top-up & short ride-briefing.

0730 - Ayer Keroh R&R : Breakfast & Top up.

0950 - Rawang R&R: Top up.

1230 - Sg Perak R&R: Top up & short rest.

1430 - Gurun R&R: Top up & Group meeting point.

1600 - Bkt Kayu Hitam: Final top up before entering Sadao.

1730 - Check-in hotel & Dinner.

 

15/11/2013 Friday (1/2 day ride).(Optional : For those interested)

0900 - Ride to Temple at hill top, sleeping Buddha & sight riding.

1400 - Back to hotel, ** Free & Easy Night Out…..!' **

 

16/11/2013 Saturday

0900 - Ride to Songkhla beach.(Optional : For those interested).

1500 - Back to hotel, ** Free & Easy Night Out….!' **

17/11/2013 Sunday

OTOT – Ard Town (Thai Festival)

 

18/11/2013 Monday ** Breakfast at own time **

0800 - Check out, gather at lobby.

0930 - Bkt Kayu Hitam: Top up

1130 - Semmangul R&R: Top up.

1330 - Ulu Bernam R&R: Top up & Lunch.

1600 - Ayer Keroh R&R: Top up.

1900 - GP Esso or Shell JB , Top up & Home Sweet Home.

 

Timings maybe subjected to changes..play by ear.

 

 

Trip Cost Est:

> For 4 Nights = S$70/pax (2-sharing), S$140/room (1pax)

Own Cost/Spendings:

> Fuel cost for this trip of base on 15km/ltr at RM2.10/ltr = Approximately S$100/= to $110/=.

> Average meal cost at S$15/day or lower, other spendings will be individual.

 

Clothing :

1. Riding Jacket or sufficient protection.

2. Riding Pants or Jeans (No Shorts)

3. Gloves

4. Riding boots or shoe – a MUST(no sandal or slipper)

5. Raincoat -MUST

 

 

 

Things you need to bring:

1. Vehicle "log card" showing your name and NRIC (log in to One.Motoring with SingPASS and print hardcopy) - VERY IMPORTANT.

2. Bike Insurance.

3. Travel insurance certificate. Best to Buy (NTUC Insurance ard $30/=)

4. Passport with at least 6 months validity.

5. Touch & Go Card

6. Spare ignition and luggage keys.

7. Sufficient $$$.

 

Other bike-related matters to note:

1. Tires should be at least thick enough to hold a patching "worm" in place in case of puncture. Check your tires pressure beforehand

2. Check and change the clutch cable if necessary; bring the old one if it is serviceable.

3. Change or top-up engine oil if necessary; bring any leftover just in case.

4. Bring any bike-specific tools required for quick repairs.

The trip dates are confirmed ..no changes. You can join us to Hatyai but if you need to Rtn on 17 then you will hv to be on your own...cos the rest of the bikers going frm14-18.
