Money should never change one's values.Making money is only a report card. It's a way to tell others how you are doing

eh... for some of the pp out there

K&T Accessories is the full name of the shop.. its directly behind Ubi's Dexing...

Boss's name is Clifford Tan

Washing of Carb bout $70~

Recommended 10K or 6 mths of riding with symtoms of lagging in throttle and "weird feeling" even after oil change... Normally coupling with a change in air filter or recharge your KNN air filter for those who are using recommended 10K or 2 oil changes as well)

Just did mine... FEELS BRAND NEW~!!!!! shiok ah.....

FYI, its 1 cent spend for 1 cent of service ..... some things might be ex u find..... for me.. i just do the internal servicing... mostly pertaining to engine and brakes there... other simpler stuff.. DIY..... His accessories might be a bit steep at times... for me.. though i've been there for years already.

Hi anodise,

u go k&t to service carbs rite...do they tune the air/fuel mixture screws for u, besides washing n balancing the carbs? We should preserve the original stock jetting rite from what i've read from the above posts, shouldn't adjust the air/fuel screws rite...

yes they do.. jus tell Clifford that u would like him to adjust the air for u.. he will do it while checking ur CO level to have a more better adjustment... cos he jus adjust my carb's air mixture yesterday.. and the result.. my bike sibei smooth nw... better response... no lag... but still testing the fuel consumption... will update here when the results are out.. but must wait till i go JB pump my tank first in the next few days...

Hi hong,

I thought s750wp advise don't touch the air intake screws? Cos they r factory preset, no need adjustment. Juz do washing n balancing only, am i rite?

Like the other time u went SF service yr carbs n they messed up yr air screws for u..so is it better not to meddle with the air screws?

CO level is carbon monoxide level rite? Also why u hv to change yr throttle cable?

Sorrie so many qn to ask u...:cheeky:

oh... cos after SF touch the screws... my fuel consumption has gotten worse... and oso..when i travel at 80km/h very sluggish despite washing and tuning my carb... so told clifford about my problem.. and he offered to help me adjust it to a lower CO level cos my CO level is high.. about 2.6+...now my CO level is around 1.3 - 1.4 ..... i changed my throttle cable becos too stiff... will get stuck sometimes... and since i oso changed to a new carbon starter that day... so might as well change the throttle cable together so no nid to pay extra labour charge...

I tried to remove the carbs on my ver R to clean, damm the honda bike is a ###### to work on.

I got the throttle cables, choke cable and sensor on the carbs disconnected after some time fiddling. Loosen all clamps, 4 on the airbox side, I'm able to pull the airbox back.

However I am stuck and couldn't pull the carb away from the engine despite loosening all the 8 clamps on the engine side.

Anyone have remove the carbs on their super 4 can share how can I pull back the carb??

What is the adaptor size to fit the engine side for carb syn, the 5mm adaptors did not fit. I guess it could be 4mm anyone can confirm this?

I have successfully took out my carb today for cleaning. Here is the procedure for you guys who wish to DIY to clean your carb.

How to remove carb

*****************

1. Remove seat and fuel tank.

2. Remove the airbox side cover

3. Remove the side farings

4. Remove the nut securing the CDI and shift the CDI away

5. Remove the 2 nut which secure the air box to the frame.

6. Remove the throttle cable at the handle bar side

7. Disconnect the choke cable at the carb side

8. Disconnect the throttle postion sensor connector

9. Loosen all the clamps (4 at airbox to carb), (8 at carb to engine)

10. Remove nut securing the coolant reserve tank and shift the tank out

11. Grab the airbox and pull it away from carb.

12. Grab the carb and pull it off from the engine, squirt some carb cleaner in between the rubber, it helps to loosen things up if your carb has not been taken out for ages. (I believe my ex owner has never wash his carb for 9 years, because all the screws look new)

How to clean the carb.

******************

1. Strip all the components on the carbs becareful not to mix the parts up. I separate all the parts into 4 different container.

2. Get a can of carb cleaners and starts to spray all the orifice, the gums on the carb will dissolve easily.

3. Soak all the jets and needles in carb cleaner for 10mins.

4. Use a brush and start to clean the carb body and float bowl.

5. Wait for things to dry up, and start to assemble carb.

air screw setting

**************

I count the air screw setting and they were as follow.

Carb #1 2 and 1/2 turns out

Carb #2 2 and 3/4 turns out

Carb #3 2 and 3/4 turns out

Carb #4 2 and 3/4 turns out

Not sure why carb #1 setting is different but manual state 2 and 3/4 turns out.

as for the carb settings, did u try turning 2 3/4 for carb #1 ??

Plan to set them all to 2.5 turns out and see how the bike runs, because I find the bike seems to be running rich, blip throttle at idle, the tacho needle rise and fall below idling speed then rise to idling speed again.

But the plugs looks ok to me though, they are nice tan.

is tis how u consider it as rich ?? since u saw the plugs r nicely tanned, then should be running rather perfect ??

question !! did u try go ride a few rounds then check ur plugs or check after revving at netural ??

To determine if the air screw is set rich or lean

1. Blip throttle at neutral and watch the tacho needle, if it rise and fall below idling speed and rise to idling speed again -rich

2. Blip throttle at neutral and watch the tacho needle, if it rise and fall above idling speed then fall to idle speed -lean

To test the main jet if rich or lean

1. Ride the bike with full throttle open, maintain for 30 sec, clutch in and bring to a stop, off engine and remove plugs to check color.
