hmm. 2 things to share. Today I went to jb, at AGL, most shop closed. went to the so call JB LAB, quite limited parts for x1r n their service attitude sucks. In fact, they also dunno wad is x1r til I showed them my bike which I parked hidden behind a car....

I changed sgd 450 to rm, end up nv buy anything, came back sgp changed back to sgd n lose few bucks on the process....

I would NV go JB again. Jammed 1 hr at sgp custom while gg there, came back jammed another hr at sgp custom again!!

I'll try to source for all those parts in sgp n den list out the price, so u guys can compare the amt saved whether worth the 2hrs jam...

 

The 2nd thing to share is, aft I got my bike, I pumped 3 times. 1st time can't calculate FC cos jus got bike, shp pump in little bit, den I go pump myself.

2nd pump, calculated n to my amaze, I clocked 58km/L! Still running-in. Riding style was 1st-20km/h, 2nd-35km/h, 3rd-55km/h, 4th- 75km/h. Only rider, no pillon. 3rd pump, I only clocked 45km/L. Riding style was 1st-20km/h, 2nd-40km/h, 3rd-60km/h, 4th-80km/h, occasionally doing 85. Whole ride is wid pillon all the time n this include the 2hrs jam at custom. which 1 hr, I off engine n push bike, the other 1 hr I on engine n use 1st gear.

I'll say, its really a good katak bike. My previous rs125 was 15km/L, rvf was 22-24km/L, Gilera 180sp was 20-22km/L, Civic eg6 was 9-9.5km/L. Another thing to point out is, at the custom to n fro, I saw at least 400 bikes n at least 350 was cubkias n no doubt the jams was fustrating, I still get to see quite a number of nicely done up cups. Mostly the sparks LC135, Low front, jack ass, full chrome, stylo milo spoke rims, bbq muffler, stunt riders... u name it, I saw it!

haha...Well i can say for accessories at JB there is really not much as their popular bike is like spark/wave/etc.(Got the Wind cover Bodykit for knee).Btw wad colour is your bike?

haha..true true..corner till u song song till u scrape the exhaust pipe until jialat2 so u have a reason to change to aftermarket exhaust. :thumb:

rear tyre best is 90/80... if you put wider tyre, you will feel heavier... racing footrest makes your bike nicer, lower cornering, but you have to get use to your leg position, and the rear brake wont be as affective compared to the stock footrest....

 

Cool, wider rear? From your experience how wide can the rear accomodate?

Cos for my case is that whenever i rest my foot on the stock footrest... the foot would feel numb and slightly cramp at times... so I thought the racing footrest can be a solution...

HAHAHA!!! u go in at wht time ? i recommand kok seng beside the minimart. ks lab rival. everytime quarrel lol

 

For 80/80 90/80 tyre. rim get 1.60 inch / 1.85 inch (1.6/1.85 is the size of rim). EXCEL 3 stroke rim or racing boy 8 stroke sport rim(those white colour, used in kallang race). very nice, strong.

 

also lighter then my stock ENKEI 1.4/1.6 5 stroke sport rim. i used bt39ss 80/90 n 90/80 on my stock rim for 15k mileage b4, but the tyre wall look like want to pop out LOL. but still got good grip. now i use dunlop tt900 thai(bo lui liao) for normal riding n no cornering. i fall once with it. lol

 

front brake disk use full round one bah. racing boy one. 300mm or go b plus got 290mm round one.

 

katsumi disk i think is 310mm. but big disk is quite heavy

 

racing footrest u can get at yamaha hong leong . get HEL/goodridge brake cable. n ebc /sbs double HH brake pad. if u want ur rear brake to be makan lor

 

for petrol if u ride 1st gear 10km 2nd: 20km 3rd 30km 4th 40km. will use less petrol. but slow la :D

buy REVTEC voltage stablizer lor. im using one. i went down to weiqiang hse at jurong east st 42 i think. u also can buy STP octane booster if u want

 

for fork. i lowered mine to 4cm. almost limit

haha. found that the handling abit funny. runnin on stock spoke rims n stock made in thai IRC tires. realised that if I ride above 60kph, when I free hand, the handle wobble..... the IRC tires prob or cub kia behaves like this? Cos 2b I rode rs125, 2a rode rvf n they dun behave like this wor...

 

got box ornot ? mine with stock sport rim only woble with box. with out box it wont wobble. but u cannot compare cub with sport bike :D cos sport bike FORK got 2 clam . 1 at the handle bar. 1 below the steering cone there.

cub only got 1 nia. if u bent down n look at ur fork u shld know wht i mean

dont chanage cdi la. i used the red bull one b4. i sold after 1 mth lol

 

unless u going to set up for tuas cubprix

 

my neighbour used 3 type redbull n gpr . all burned lol

i got a front disk 320mm de... the brand is daytona.... i wont reccommand you to buy it... cause quite easy to get dented after a small hit or drop... yamaha Racing footrest can buy at jb... more colour to choose from... bro... you want big disk can go sg ah boy boy... $65... my front disk is heavy... but frankly speaking... quite solid... if you want hell brake hose i can reccommed bikeworks at kaki bukit there, they selling at $140... if you use racing footrest, your rear brake wont be makan de.... only stock footrest will be makan... still can do sliding... haha

the fork clam will stablise the front fork... only a bit only... if you want to be stable... lower your front fork... change your rear suspension to a harder suspension... sure power... corner at high speed 100% wont wobble... any problem can pm me... i will try to slove your problems... cheers boys

may i noe which rear suspension r u using? gazi or yss? and roughly hw much izzit? and i think instead of lowering fork we can also change our forks to inverted ones for added cornering advantage.. tts if we gt the $$ la.. haha.. jus an opinion..

inverted fork, ask KATSUMI whether stable ornot, he using one. for rear sups can modified the stock gan tong.

i did my at jb .opps ah gua lane . the indian pub tht stretch. shop sigh red motul(xiFU). they add oil n a screw to ur stock sups.

hi guys.... for the front fork... inverted fork looks nice. but its very hard to find find disc brake adaptor if you are using big brake disc... i tried using inverted fork to do high speed corner... its to shakey... not stable... the best is use original fork... go shop do downing for your fork... when you ride above 100km/h its still stable... fork downing means that the fork clamp will have to grind a little and push the fork up....

For stock rear suspension cannot modified... i tried before.... i am using YSS with the oil catalyser and can adjust the hight on rebound pressure.... i brought it at SG ah boy for $130.... cheap right... I went to shop and ask them fix for me... around 15 bucks for work man ship... i check a few places before going ah boy... E.G.... choing aik is selling at $195 without installation... Wing yap is selling at $170...

The daytona disc is 320mm de i brought it at sg de... looks nice and light weight... but when i went to tuas track, i fell down and the disc is dented... when i do hard braking its like riding a crazy horse... haha... brake disc abit heavier its ok... cause its tougher and can use longer.... i hope i answer you guys doubts... any problems just post it here and i will try my best to help.... cheers boys
