I removed mine b4.... At the right side of the bike engine under a plastic cover rite? And the screw head is like a star.

That thing was done to me free when i changed my chain. Wat the mech says was that this black thing is the thing holding the power back at high RPMs. Cos I told him that i reach 190km/h then will reach a stage where the power will on and off(dunno how to explain, sorry). But recently also never go NSH so put it back loh. I mean this thing is there for a reason wat. Dun wanna risk spoiling my wife.

The TPS is pre-calibrated and fixed on to the bracket using the torx screw. The TPS and bracket should only be separated in the event of self recalibration(The TPS is officially not serviceable and must be replaced if calibration is off). For TPS removal, you should unscrew the bracket itself.

The TPS is there for making adjustments to the ignition timing for better power and more linear throttle response. So keep it in there.

bro, so the black pin is called TPS...? hmm...i think i cannot find liao...

can go get th0se "tai chia" ones..?

:(

Can. But it is difficult to ascertain the condition of a 2nd hand piece. Alternatively, can go find at honda parts dealer like FJT or Boon Siew. Remember not to separate the TPS from the bracket. Once separated, the calibration will be off. Put back also no use liao.

Hi,

My engine recently always stalled when I'm riding.

Usually happen when I stopped at a junction, the rpm will gradually dropped to less than 1000 and then engine stalled....

any idea why?

Common causes are carburation(intake manifold leaks, carb out of sync, etc), deteriorated spark plug and weak battery.

But I've just tuned my Carb a couple of months ago..changed spark plug too!

Does Super 4 has oxygen sensor?

Just tuned Carb then likely is the fuel - air mixture.....go back to the motortiam to get it fixed.....

If the symptoms appear right after the servicing, the servicing is most likely the cause. Things could go wrong during the sevicing. Carbs misadjusted, intake manifold not tightened properly etc. There are a number of reasons that can cause rough idling. You have to eliminate the probable causes one by one. Send back to ur previous mech and complain lah. Even if you dun get the problem rectified FOC, they at least will charge cheaper.....

Super 4 has no oxygen sensor.

the servicing was done about 6mths ago, what done were

- service air filter (K&N)

- changed spark plug

- service carb (ie washed and retuned)

it ran fine till recently, where it will go below 1K RPM and slowly die on me when i stop my bike .. starting my bike is fine every morning thou

btw how long do you guys/gals change your coolant and brake fluid?

oh ... is one of the bike shop in ubi .. sorry can't really remember which

Tried adjusting your clutch biting point? If your bike does not die when in neutral, could be clutch problem. Is the clutch fully disengaged when clutched in?

Hi,

Managed to solve my low rpm problem.

A mechanic has tightened the screws of the intake manifold rubber, that join the carburetor.

So far my rpm is alright now - dropped to 800-900 when I stopped the bike at junctions.

I've also changed my fork oil & brake fluid....better performance too!

So happy! Thanks for your reply.

way to go dude..cheers..
