Nothing much to do on the bike nowadays. Anyone have any suggestions? Sorry i am not very technical when it comes to bikes , therfore nothing much to contribute.

Hehehe, how about a 200cc VXR block? Cheaper then the Malossi 210cc, and from trying one, there is a tad more power in it...

cheers

Guys, I have decided, actually poisoned. I want a touring bike! That Brrrrruuudddyyyy Spec C poisoned me with his Varadero, is there any class 2A touring bikes?

P.S. My Gilera up for sale for 3.5K firm! I want a class 2A ride...

Hmmm..... Sound good to me 200cc block... i once heard from Des that to change to a bigger block you will also need to change the power cam and during the outing, i heard bro Stroker said that power cam will lead to over heating. So i am a bit worried about the change. Anyone, can explain to me? Thanks

It's sad that Dan is actually selling his ride. I know it's hard to hold you back when the class 2A bug has bitten you. So good luck and i hope you find a good buyer for you ride. I am also waiting for my turn to convert to Class 2A. . hee..hee

Nowadays, feel like riding a manual bike..... i actuall wanted to buy another bike( with clutch ) but wife is giving me hell.

Anyway, all the best.

the urge to upgrade is always there. for me started with a skipper 125 then nsr125sp , dt200wr , pgm4 , cbr954rr, cbr600rr and at last come back to a scooter.

i also intend to install the cam later on ...... this worries me( over heating)

Update on my stalling problem. Des/Win Jing changed the plug for me, now it is solved. Was there to fit the GPR Poppy so might as well. Damn, the exhaust rocks man.....keep getting backfiring...like my bike got Anti Lag man.....whahaha

Jetting to be done later..but seems like everything is fine......even the Wave and the X1s steered clear from me!

How abt a rounding session this weekend, haul the "pimped up" DNA's to yishun dam or something. Went the other night, a group of R1's parked next to me and they were "admiring" the DNA! Hehehe... They like the sound of the GPR too, say it is ver bass-y...

Cheers....

ha..ha.... i can understand what you are doing through... Same problem over on my side...ha..ha.

Rounding seem like a great idea. i have never been to Yishun Dam before...

So it's true that the power Cam will cause over heating. Can any expert explain . Thanks

Posted

Me no expert but my guess is its a mis-conception to a certain degree.. Cos when you change cam, you'll have to change jetting/ setting to suit. If not, there's bound to be over-heating prob cos of the wrong jetting/ setting.. That's my guess, cos I haven't fix a powercam before.

The over-heating prob is hear-say and rumours.. I can't confirm. Malossi pls dun sue me :help: :help:

Solaris10 had it installed wihtout prob I think.. But if you'll to intall powercam, I'll REALLY suggest installing a bigger bore kit since its by the way. You'll save lots on the installation charges.

k, gotta run now (to pg)!! See ya and rock all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, I really doubt that the power cams will overheat a great deal, and in my opinion, why not just get the whole VXR block, piston the DOHC? There is a fellow DNA rider here using the VXR block in place of the 180cc ones, if you are really keen, you should ask him as he knows alot more about it then I do.

Anyway, pay cheque just came in today, really happy now! Muahahaha... Time to go and wake Desmond up...

Cheers

Wah go pg ah? your bike ok already?

i cannot go these few weeks already. one colleague MC for 3 weeks man.

have to stand in his sailings.

i believe only a bigger bore will cos overheating but since stroker already tried so there should not be any prob with both of the kits. Cams i believe will not affect the temp more than the big bore kit.

RIDE TO THE LIMIT OF YR BIKE!

bro.. phew.. I finally know what's the strange whinning sound's about... KNN. At a cost. F man....

Went pg happily early morning. Reached there, got side stand out, changed pipe, and setted the carb a few rounds. Got it to run SWEET with my pwk34. Time comes for the track time... First & second lap warming up. All's good. Bike pulled well. Except the sprocket still too tall. Third to fifth lap beginning to pick up pace. Full bore at the 2nd straight, backed one gear to set up for the left hander and suddenly something went wrong.. There seemed to be a grinding sound coming from bottom end. Confirmed troubled as I cruised to the track side. Crankshaft was like on a grinder.. Vibrating and grinding like a 1950's fruit blender.

KNN. Crankshaft high speed bearing seized. Rebuit the bottom-end, changed conrod, new high speed bearings, etc etc etc etc etc for the rest of the day... sianxzsczxz... :sian: :sian:

Could it be oil pressure? And also oil used? If there's oil starvation problem causing low pressure and oil not suitable, your rebuilt will come to nothing, bro... better check everything properly else waste a lot of $$$. Anyway, u got the $ already?

The GPR is just solid. After I put on the exhaust, I have received 5 thumbs up at lights from admirers in cars. However those dudes in X1s, Sonics and Waves don't really like my bike...they love to gun beside me....sigh....

Then you must gun back at those damn cubs, sorry stroker, got really pissed with a group of Y125Z's today, also next to me at traffic light, light turn green, they try to do wheelies.

By the way, anyone here know if they are any special scooter servicing packages on at the moment, belt changing time!

Cheers

Guys, can we buy the attachment that slips onto the exhaust manifold to hold the GPR pipe on? Cause mine is rusting really badly...
