I am...last time we saw the event wif my grp of runner pals we were totally amazed by the speeds on the Msian scoots....but this time round the event is in KL...

Any of u dna fanatics wanna get performance front brake pads?

Braking brake pads. About 40bucks if we mass order. It should be 50 bucks.

Need minimum 10 pairs. Any takers? Will have much better braking power especially usefully when u wanna avoid those freaking taxis!

We will be the first guys to have this pads in sg. Currently available ones from braking are the lower grade ones.

 

I saw it is the same as the 4 stroke runners if i remember correctly.

1st. Can I know where is Ideal Motors?

 

2nd. I need to change my tyres fast. Which tyres are good? Are Metzeler tyres good for Gilera DNA? I need to know the price range and available reliable good shops.

 

3rd. I need to change both brake pads? Reasons: Squeaking. I need to know the price range and available reliable good shops.

 

4th. I just met with an accident when a taxi suddenly jam brake just outside the istana on Sunday morning and the head set broke. I have to change it. Quote me a price.

 

5th. Is an open pod KNN air filter good? Any disadvantages from using a stock airbox?

One question for the expert. When i ride my Dna, starting pick-up is very responsive, however after the engine is hot after 15 mins of riding the pick-up is not responsive at all. I have to trotter to 7 rpm than the damn bike will move and when it is moving that the responsivness come back.

 

 

I am using 12.5g roller, Malossi multivar, Malossi CDI, Malossi toque driver and i just change a new belt.

 

I need help.

As I say, too many mods will mess up any kind of machine. This may be a dumb idea, but why not install an oil intercooler? under the radiator, there is a sort of nice air scoop with probably enough space for an intercooler...

Bro, sorry, Ive never encountered such prob on a dna, sure not sure too. But from my guess, it seems to be a jetting problem. When the bike is cold, everything's good, but hover when it gets hot, the mixture will get richer, thus causing sluggishness at the bottom end.

 

Alternatively, make sure your cooling system is adequet. Having enough coolant and making sure the water impeller's working good. Might be a cooling prob since yr carb and intake received no modifications.

 

BTW, whatever you seen on the pix can be done. With money of course. Even in sillypore. But the pipe is highly illegal la.. That's all you need to take note. Cheers!!~

1) Its at Kaki Bukit. The flatted factory opp Motoworld.

 

2) Maxxis look pretty damn good. Contact spider for more info. Alternatively, the tried and tested Michelin Gold Standard.

 

3) Braking. Or original brake pads.

 

4) $300+++ for the headlight + head cowling. I think its comes in a set. Alternatively, go for a spray job. They can mend it back.

 

5) Open pod no good. Lose bottom and mid range. IMHO. Been there, done that. Said this a thou' times and Im still saying this.

The guru has spoken. The head fairing can be resprayed if not broken, maybe around $40. But if you are saying that the part holding the meters broke, it is around $60 from Piaggio.

Stroker has spoken. Ops, sorry, was reading about the mitsubishi lancer evo engine and got it all mixed up, intercooler only for turbocharged and supercharged internal combustion engines. maybe you can go and do something like that to your dna? Hehehehe.

 

Anyway, mym203, stuff like that can be done in Singapore, actually you can do anything in Singapore as long as you have money and a will to try.

 

As for the Maxxis tires, they are not bad, but they cost more then a standard setup of Michelin Gold Standard tires, but anyway, the choice of tires for the DNA is a little limited.

 

Actually here are a list of stupid ideas I had for my DNA, stuff I knew will never will materialise but I can dream can't I?

 

1) Emergency brake parachute with my face printed on it with a caption saying "tailgate me somemore!"

 

2) Speed camera/ redlight camera seeking missiles.

 

3) SMS activated self destruct system, just msg "OWNED" and the theft and the bike gets blown up.

 

4) Snorkel like those on jeeps, for river crossing in my DNA.

 

5) Modifying the helmet bay into a refrigerator for beers.
