Yes.. they are interested in heinze.. da fella just scored for argentina this morning. But MU unlikely to let him go, especially directly to a rival club.

Babel, 20, will sign a five-year contract after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical on Merseyside.

Ajax had earlier revealed they had agreed a fee of £11.5million for the player.

"Liverpool have agreed terms with Ajax and Ryan Babel himself and the player will sign a five-year-deal on Friday," said a statement on the club's website.

Yossi Benayoun to me is a gd catch cause he's only worth $5m. In short, cheap and good. Love to watch him play at West Ham. Hes like the heart of the team. Really a hardworking footballer. Running all over the pitch like nobody business. But that was when he is playing for West Ham. Dont know how he will fair for Liverpool. As for Ryan Babel never really seen him play. Only able to catch a glimpse of him via YouTube. Quite pacy i should say. Can play at the width as well as upfront. Just what Liverpool need at the flank. Skillfull and most important thing is, not scared to try his luck at any distance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-ylK0s9sX0. Hope Liverpool Rafalution can bring smiles and cup back to Anfield. With the likes of Gerrard, Torres, Xabi, Mascherano, Benayoun, Babel, Kuyt etc Hope Liverpool can be a Team to be recon with and not another club just to fill the EPL 20 teams.

i would be that WHO....

Liverpool is Liverpool, i'm ok with em not being able to spend to buy players.

Lotsa players who come to Liverpool ain't here bout da money. They're here with a heart, with soul, with love, with passion.

Look at da players who go to Chelshit. It's all bout da money. They don't go there with a heart, juz there to bank on it.

Your 'Cole' is one good example and juz look at Ballack, taking advantage his free transfer therefore able to ask for his wages.

Mate, i think ya a Liverpool fan, however, ain't grown into one with da Heart, Soul, Love, Passion.

it will take some time...don't worry bout it should you stay thru with da club.

why out pennant?

i think he's been doin a great job in Liverpool.

for me i think he's been under rated....

Ya boy! I do think Pennant is ok with his skills and crosses. Its the left side that sux big time for Liverpool last season. Bolo Zenden cant even outrun defenders. And when it comes to Mark Gonzalez, theres no doubt about it. Hes a flop. Cant even hold the ball.

Fabio Aurelio hopes to be back in training next month as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

The Brazilian damaged his cruciate ligament last season and has spent the summer undergoing an intensive rehabilitation programme.

"Fabio isn't fit yet," said boss Rafael Benitez. "It could be another month before he is recovered. We knew it would be a long time when he suffered the injury.

"He is improving but it's not easy when you have this kind of injury."

Ryan Babel is aiming to light up Liverpool the way Thierry Henry ignited Arsenal.

The 20-year-old forward has signed a five-year deal at Anfield after helping Holland win the European Under-21 Championship.

Liverpool had to pay Ajax £11.5million for his services and Babel is determined to give value for money.

BABEL COMPLETES ANFIELD MOVE

Henry quickly established himself as one of the Barclays Premier League’s finest entertainers and Babel revealed he sees himself in the same mould as the Frenchman.

Babel said: “It is great that some people are comparing me to Henry. I will work hard to get to his level or maybe beyond it in the next few years.

“Hopefully I am somebody that will please the supporters. I am a fast player, who likes to dribble and play beautiful football. I like to score goals as well.

“I have heard the Liverpool fans get behind the team in every game and that is important to me.”

Babel checked in at Anfield at the same time as former West Ham United midfielder Yossi Benayoun.

With strikers Fernando Torres and Andryi Voronin already recruited, Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has given a clear statement of intent.

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE TRANSFERS

Babel said: “If you are Liverpool you have to go for the championship. This year is going to be an exciting one.

“I like to think I play well in the big games. It was that way last season when Ajax faced PSV and Feyenoord.

“Hopefully we can win a lot of prizes this season

I agree bout zenden.. i tot he is so awful in the UCL final.. but i tink gonzalez needs more games than wad he got to show and i tink and still am tinking that he would be a much better choice than zenden if kewell is not around.. and aurelio... i also tink he didn't get quite much games but i tink he did average..

Maybe coz, he doesn't try hard enuff?

I've watched him play. He has the talent and speed to rule the flanks.

The only thing is he doesn't try hard enuff to own the flanks.

Its like he crumbles easily under pressure from defence & doesn't have to do-or-die attitude to push forward.

On a good day, he can zip pass defences and deliver pin-point crosses (game against Arsenal).

Unfortunately, those days are heavily outnumbered by the bad days.

Let's hope he notches up his performance in the upcoming season.

Its a waste to see his talent and ability go away...

Liverpool used to have a very keen interest on Portugal left winger Simao. The player that outclass em in CL 2005 when they lost 3-0 to Benfica. Just the type of player Liverpool needs. But too bad though. Now not interested due to the price tag Benfica put on him. Sigh...

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/images4/dudek_final_04_120x80.jpg

Jerzy Dudek is poised to sign for Spanish giants Real Madrid on a free transfer.

The Polish goalkeeper was released by Liverpool at the end of last season after failing to dislodge Pepe Reina from his position as the club's number one 'keeper.

Dudek had been courted by Feyenoord, but the lure of La Liga and the Bernabeu has proved impossible to resist.

"On Sunday or Monday I will fly to Spain to pass medicals," he said. "On the same day I will sign a contract and will be presented as a new Real player. I hope so and I am really happy with this.

"The offer from Real overshadowed all the others. I was considering a return to Feyenoord, Jacek Krzynowek was encouraging me to join him at Wolfsburg, an interesting offer from a respected newly promoted Premiership club appeared and I was also thinking of moving to Portugal.

"However, when Real showed interest I was very proud and did not think long."

Aiyah this Jerzy Dudek cant even fight for a place in the 1st 11 of Liverpool and now he wants to join Real Madrid and fight for the spot with Ikar Cassilas? Atleast he got to enjoy some football here at Liverpool. I doubt he'll get his chance at Madrid. No doubt hes capable.
