i have been a die-hard liverpool fan for around 10 years...

but taking Gerrard off was a tactical move??

this was supposed to be a derby match and Rafa tried his tinkering at the wrong time...

 

i am honestly fed up by the constant changes he is making and the whole squad has problem coping with the constantly chaning squad...

livepools performance is under par for the last few games.

no finishing. but however glad with the 2-1 win.. last minute penalty..

overall... benayoun , gerrard is doing well... sissoko is giving away way too many balls cheaply.. kuyt is alright, voronin is making lotsa good runs hypia's own goal should be classed as a pure accident since its quite tight when he tried to clear it behind for a corner but it would be a very nice goal if its at the other end...

 

mayb the tactical part is to have the midweek champions league in view and arsenal next week... anyways, lucas did very well ad if not for phil neville's handball, he's scored the winner.. a very nice finish too.... ryan babel did better than other games tonight.. although he is on for a while only and pennant, he's made quite an impact wen he 1st came on for the last 3 minutes.. finnan is proving that he cannot cope too well at defense... and carra is protesting too much in my opinion..

 

At the other end, i think lescott's done very well and of course.. tim howard... he's made quite a number of great saves...overall, although liverpool should have won and had won... i'm happy with that, there are really penalties that should have been given to everton but... i'm just too happy that we had won that i kept jumping in front of the tv set...

all i can say after watching the game is that liverpool's defence is missing agger... hypia cannot cope with the faster players and the 1st goal actually considered of a couple of rebounds or mis kicks and the owwn goal came as hypia is trying to block a shot.. but the ball hit his supporting leg and went in the other way.. abit like the freak goal for ac milan in the final last year.. reina had it covered but.... i seriously feel liverpool needs another central defender.... there are no more choices fro rafa except for jack hobbs..

 

the atmosphere..what i heard is the besiktas crowd can match it at anfield.. and their chants were way more intimidating..sounded to me like those soldiers in Troy or something going to war...

 

Ryan babel showed he is good but.. he's trying too hard to beat too many opponents... resulting in quite a few balls lost because he was challenged by 2-3 opponents for the ball.. abit stupid i would say... liverpool had a goal dis-allowed but i think it can be debated..

 

Liverpool's attacks are quite like the arsenal ones at the start of the season.. its quite puzzling y they did not want to shoot from outside the box when there are alot of space and instead, they crowd into the box which allows the opponent alot of space when they counter attack...

all players very sporting... u wouldn't see the players from both sides trying to shake hands and have a bit of conversation if their opponents is either man utd or chelsea... i sure of that...

 

entertaining match.. Liverpool had done well... but carra is doing too much complaining and trying to pull ppl down... i think liverpool needs one or 2 more central defenders badly.. or rafa could let hobbs come out for a run... central defence remained ver much unchanged and i think they're very very tired... mascherano did very well.. so did crouch and gerrard.. torres and alonso got sub and may be injured again.... the rest had done well too and hypia managed to cope... good job..
