watched the game... must give credit to Villa... they played very well.. after a goal by benayoun..liverpool couldnt create many chances as the opponent played well...

 

Yup the own goal was more of deflection of Aurelio's hand... Crouch was the saviour this time.... Inter's coach was among the spectators....

i would say, Ditch the 2 American owners and get someone who's got REAL Passion for the club and soccer as priority above the profits that they visualize they will get from th risks they took..

Quite disappointing. By half time can only manage a draw. Wel now also so far away from the top table. I've been a lverpool fan for 17yrs.

I really hope Liverpool can keep him and is willing to keep him... but.. skertel doesn't seem to have a good debut against havant i would say...

In buying macherano, liverpool nds to fork out 17million pound. Tat is alot of money.

my personal opinion, theres no need to sign Javier Mascherano. With that £17million, we can get another striker or another capable midfielder.

 

just for your info.. javier mascherano is one of the best holding midfielders in world football today.

imo... $17million pound is way too expensive for a defensive midfielder. Yes he is superb at covering the back four. Yes he tracks back brilliantly and tackles hard n accurately but he lacks a contribution in the goalscoring department. He rarely scores a goal and was not really good in his passing range(but hes been getting better at it lately i've noticed).

 

Compare him against makelele, gattuso, viera and you'll know he got sum more hard work to do before he can be called a GREAT defensive midfielder. I'd rate him at somewhere ard the range of $10million. Thats y Liverpool is so reluctant to sign him.

 

But i do wish they sign him la. Coz hes one hell of a tackler.. I just wish he has the eye for goal and passing ability of xabi alonso.

yeah.. i agree with you.. but javier is still young and is still developing.. has yet to play to his full potential..

 

but then.. this is the only chance that liverpool has to sign him..

 

if liverpool were to miss this chance to sign him and he goes to another club, then we will be kicking ourselves in the shin..

 

a raw gem like mascherano is hard to find nowdays. the football game now is all attack and a holding midfielder is hard to come by..

Liverpool has completed momo sissoko's deal with juventus. That shud make sum funds available for Benitez to sign Mascherano on a permanent deal!! :thumb:
