Passed Lesson 7 today...! :lovestruck:

Can book TP liao... :bouncefire::clap:

Congrats! Hope to see you on the road soon!

Remember to book enough CR and RR.

On TP day, go early. I believe its 7.30 can go down start warm up. So try to reach around 7.15 submit documents and get ready.

You also mentioned you have a preferred bike. If you go early you may get to pick that bike for warm up and actual TP.

Good luck!

Out of topic, anyone here signed with SSDC for your 2A?

I can register for 2A this Aug but I don't remember seeing that many 2A students while I was learning for my 2B, are the practical lessons widely available or would BBDC be a better choice ?

Congrats FTW! When is your TP?

Just passed TP last thurs also. :cheer: Passing rate is super high.. Close to 38 out of about 49 passed I think? SSDC is good! hahaha...

Reporting time for TP is 7am (i.e. can start to warm up then and it lasts for about an hour). You can pick your favourite bike for the warm up but... chances are... you cant choose your bike for TP as they will assign the bikes to you. Therefore, I would think the best would be to go for CRs and RRs while waiting for TP and get familiar with as many bikes as possible. That said, still good to pick your favourite bike for warm up so that you will feel better.

All the best!

Congrats man... Mine is in Jun, just booked today.

Not bad for that passing rate, in fact, very good!

But during one of my lessons recently, just 1 or 2 weeks back, I heard from the instructors, 50 person take, 10 pass nia, in SSDC.

I know I need to go for more CR before the test.

Bought your bike already?

Yes, widely available. 2A and 2 lessons are conducted together so don't worry about not having lesson 'slots'.

But do note that lessons and revisions are more expensive..

Your instructor lie to you la haha.

I took 2b, 2a and 2 at ssdc from 2012. 45 people take, 30+ passed. Same for 2a and 2. On your test day your instructor will tell you, just do you best, do the standard checking, and don't net any immediate failure and you should be fine.

Hmm..from what I remember few years back when I took my 2b, if you go early you can select your bike, provided it is one of the bikes they brought down to level 1 the night before. After warm up, you put your helmet on your bike and take the same bike for the test.

Only those who came late and didn't do the warm up had to 'recycle' the bikes. Maybe they changed it..

Haha thanks! Good luck for your TP in Jun too! Now is the fun time for CRs.. Lol.

Agree with Cellardoor.. haha. instructor might be trying to scare you into doing more revisions... unless the passing rates really vary so much.. haha.

Have not gotten a bike yet.. but... will be doing bike shopping soon! yay!

Yea boy... Guess they have changed it.. Was looking out where they have parked the bike after the warm up and hope to walk to it.. But the instructors will do a last min check of the bikes and then park it somewhere else. Then they will tell you where to get the bikes.. Prob if lucky (or old.. like me) then there are at least a few to choose from. Haha.

True about the passing rate that past 2 weeks back ... I'm one of them during that test & ours passing rate is 20% (Which mean 50 testee go for test & 10 testee passed) that I was thinking which is lower passing rate then ever come across (I might be wrong about). ;)

P.S:

that was a lucky days for me to pass that time. also wishing you pass your the test too. :D

Mine was about 60% pass... i think usually they hover about 40% to 60%...

I think 20% is quite rare... to the schools... when they get such low passing rates... you'll see suddenly the L7 will become harder to pass... because they take it upon themselves to make sure the rider can pass before releasing them to TP...

Oh oh... excited :) going to school again next week ... :)

Look at yamaha tricity instead. i think its worth a look. MP3 125 has some reviews which are not very encouraging...

MP3 400 is ok.

I think i'll get one if a >400cc comes out :)

Thanks!! yea, been looking at tricity also.. think it is the best compromise between two and three wheeler. just that have to buy new.. just saw MP3.. a lil too big for me to handle. I might get tricity.. just hope the dun come up with 200cc or 150cc ltr. haha.

Yea, the three wheeler. lol. my parents wouldnt mind me riding- provided it is 3 wheeler. so.. nt much choice. haha

3-wheelers are not necessarily 'safer'. There are other things to consider..

The best way to convince your parents (and sometimes yourself) is that you are old and mature enough to make the decision to ride. Whatever people say, riding is dangerous.

You then would have the responsibility to be safe and ride diligently/defensively as well as get proper gear (good helmet, gloves, pants, covered shoes, etc.).
