as mentioned by Jehuty, your insurance only gets cheaper when you hit 25yrs old and the difference can go as much as $800 more. which is probably double the premium of a 25yr old guy. last yr im 25 my insurance is 860 for fire & thieft coverage this yr its 460 (after 10% NCD) only for the same coverage...

 

i forgot to mention i got my bike when i am 24 and my insurance is $1200.

You wait until after probation one year over you buy insurance even cheaper. And don't buy something sporty like a SP or KRR please. On those insurance will kill even more. If you want sportbike you can buy CBR150 the old model. Insurance under "others".

I think buy cruiser should be consider as safe...

 

I started with a TA200 (phantom)... still love it. very little and easy to ride... sound also tweak until very bassy... nice fuel consumption, very wallet friendly. haha...

Imo kup is the best for that, nimble, light, cheap, bulletproof, doesn't look like crap when you put a box, can put basket at the front for easy access, you can do it up in JB or SG no problem.

 

Just lacks power...then again I'm spoilt by a class 2 bike. For glamor, get a Vespa, auto scoots are even more convenient, just more expensive.
