Was watching one of the reruns of taiwanese variety prog, one lady can catch average of 36 prawns per hour... she can also choose whether she wants male or female prawns....

sianz the 1 at east coast i think closed for renovation ler.. soo long liao.. duno still operating anot -.-" went farm mart wib my sis at midnight to prawn fishing end up catching abt 13 prawn for 3 hrs -.-" sianz lol... but den nvm at least got 2 big sized de.. keke

most LFS sells them..

 

depends on wat kind u want.. cherry shrimps etc..

 

a good place to buy is at clementi blk 328

 

but be warned.. prawns are quite sensitive to water conditions.. so yah.. have fun and start from cheaper prawns..

Any kind of freshwater prawn will do. Clementi Blk 328? It is a wet market?

I called the LFS in Jurong and they are selling the prawn at 40/kg, damn expensive:mad:

Any places with lower price? Anyplaces in North?

why would u want to get 1kg of live prawns? for the dining table??

 

its not a wet market... its a fish shop..

 

most fish shops sells them..

abt $2 per small packet.. for normal kinds..

 

for cherry shrimps its price ranges from $1-1.50 each

prawn catching actually need a bit of skills.cause you must know how to strike when the prawn is biting on your bait.your bait must not be too good.cause pranws' mouth are super small and they dun nesscary will bite from the front where the hook is.cause the prawn can bite from the back.they will provide rod and bite for you.after you catch them, you can bring home to eat it.its really nice.for me, i will bring my own hook.cause the hook they provide dont have the second small hook, or called backing.anyway, i learned from scratch then slowly proceed to better catchs.

throw back into the water after u got ur catch ? omg den u pay $$ to fish for wad =x the prawns can bring home cook and it de its the same as u buying from supermarket but its different meaning u ownself fished it up, eat ler more meaningful

i think mixture ba.. the ones i usually fished up aare those "big" head prawns. zzz nt ask u eat raw as in they are still alive and jumping around by the time u bring them back home i think they are like 1/2 dead ler lar lol if u think still cruel, put them in a container den put in the freezer lo "instant death"

confirm can catch at least one prawn.the first time i prawned was like 6 years ago.that time super noob.but decided to give it a try at east coast with my friend.we only prawn for 1 hour.and we got like 6.so i am sure you can get at least one.as long as you know how to pull your rod up when you feel that a prawn is biting hard.

i went to farm mart at abt 12 wib my sis and her bf fished up quite a no. but we onli gt 2 rods den i halfway left ler.. so didnt knw hw mnay prawns there were.. but got 1 biggg prawn scary zzz !! lucky my sis bf help to pull out the hook lol...

i usually go to marina south to prawn fish. its $12 per hour. buy 2 hr get 1/2 free, buy 3 hr get 1 hr free..

 

usually juz catch the prawns and we put them into the net which is left in the water so they wudnt die. There are BBQ pits so can cook them fresh and eat them on the spot.. juz need to bring your own charcoal and stuffs...

 

haven been goin there for very long liao.. expensive man..
