not say where best or not.. prawn got timing.. weather also makes a difference.. then inside the pond, they got different spots where they will gather...

u have to see location also.. from what i know, bishan is the 1 that takes in most of the prawns from the only 3suppliers that import to singapore. imagine bishan, 1week about 150kg++ of prawns.. compare to 1 of the pond in farmway which is only 30kg per week.. and sometimes have to see what they base on to release the prawns.. tamah jurong is like standard 7pm release once?!? bishan is per 13-16rods.. 1saturday night, from 11-3 can release about 4times.. each is more than 10kg...

im not promoting bishan or what la.. is just my opinion, and based on what i know and learn from working there...

 

some pple how pro, also cannot prawn sometimes.. luck counts also.. like my friend, first timer, can prawn more than me lor.. lol.. most importantly, spend ur money to enjoy and relax, not get stressed and pissed off more lol.. i used to prawn till i get freaking pekchek and feel like breaking the rod, now, i dun bother liao, got prawn then got lor.. no prawn then treat it as u kind hearted feeding them.. haha...

The other time i went with my frds, the smell is like :giddy:.

dunno about the catch rate as my nose cannot take the smell...

Good place, decent catches.. but try to use different bait. cockles seems like their staple, i tried sotong, sarong worms, chix heart , shrimps, catfish.. not bad catches.. individual 18 for 3 hrs highest.

maybe that day was unlucky for both of us...

but thats the last time i went there.. no more...

 

my favourite place, but damn far for me,

somewhere in Pasir ris. dunno how to say, but know how to go..

catch rate first 49 for 2 prawners and 1 joker.

good place with 91.3fm :cheeky: BBQ pits(sometimes must bring charcoal if they never store those left overs by other patrons)

big pool.. highest amt of prawners i counted was ard 30rods.

 

 

BUT... as everyone knows.. fishing and prawning is 10%patience 30%skill and 55%luck

 

plus another 5% for weather... seems to me that raining no prawns. anyone can varify? 3times i went after raining.. the catch rate is donkeys....

go bishan leh.... then night got pple pei me talk liao.. or else i talk to the uncle there v bored lol...

 

if big rain, ground temperature cold, water cold, prawns dun like to eat... small rain still ok... whole day rain also hard catch..

 

charcoal bishan plenty... upstairs no more can go downstairs get... got fire starter also... salt too..

 

for weekends in bishan (downstairs).. highest amt of rod given out was 59 (rod stand outside) + 20 (rods inside) + about 20 personal rod... so about 100rods.. diveded by 4ponds.. each pond about 24 rods... for upstairs i've yet to work till weekend.. so this weekend i'll update again how many rods out cos im working upstairs lol..

i agree on the weather cold hard to catch cause heard some uncle telling me when i was prawning at bishan..but wat about indoor 1 le?? still see weather?? i doubt so..
