recently my bike got some oil leaking on top of the engine just below the carb. i think we hav the same prob. can it be the carb leaking?

 

The carb gasket need to be replaced. Well u guys can actually go to yamaha agent Automachinery at Rowell Rd to buy the original gaskets as its quite cheap. And also spark plugs original only $4. Only buy the E0 and 2T from shop and ask them fix.

hi, have u all ever tried installing back the engine top block without gasket? what is the good point of it? what is the bad?

 

dont think its a good idea. a gasket is used to make sure nothing leaks out from the joining parts. further more the top block area is where the combustion happens. so wont the pressure of the combustion make things worst if you dont place your gasket??

y1 y2 are those japanese made machines. to what i heard they are more long lasting and can stand heat longer then the y3 y4. maybe the otais like to explain more in detail...

dont know.. maybe next time i try if i got another z. too boring so think about stupid shits.. cos rxz no coolant.. so no gasket, u will not be afraid that coolant water will flow into the combastion side.. save 1 or 2mm to make the combustion area smaller little little bit yet saving afew coins to get gasket... hehehe...
