Hello guys..I am new here and I would like to ask about RXZ fuel consumption..is it normal to loose half tank petrol from jurong to woodlands than back again to jurong?

anyone willing to share?

Hi I travel quite frequently thru n fro jurong n woodlands also. To and fro total about 45-50km. My rxz all stock condition, catalyzer model. My FC is about 38km/L. So I only use less than 2L. My full tank is about 13L.

Does the catalyzer consume lesser fuel??o_O cos last time I ride the japan model rxz..FC is about 30km/L only..is my current rxz running too lean?? Anybody can share their stock catalyzer FC?

mind telling us how many litres u pump and how far did u go then u pump?like say...at 400km then u start pump,pump full tank about 12.xxL,dont tell us how much($) u pump..tats the wrong way to gauge how gd our FC is like most ppl mistakenly did.

 

FC for rxz depends on ur style of riding,and its not riding slow will give u any better fc..coz we dont have powervalve..

 

what i meant was do u go highways a lot or town a lot?like stop go stop go or maintain at a speed for a long period of time..that account a bit on the FC...

 

last time my rxz can go to and fro melaka without refuelling,i only refuel when i came back at 2nd link...or was it at machap i cant remember,thats when my fuel left about 1/4.yeah,my full tank almost hit more than 500km.becoz for the most part of the journey i went at 100-110km/h constant.so i guess fuel consumption is lower than stop and accelerate.my bike was at stock.

but then when i came back to sg..FC went as per normal...400km full tank at most.

 

for japan/malaysian model stock main jet is if im not wrong 210,while thai caty is 190..so caty rxz suppose to give better FC.

one more thing for ur case..i guess ur carb is using stock main and pilot,that explains ur FC,but when u ride for a long period,when u stop,try and check whether ur bike is too hot than normal,that means for a distance about..1 2 feet away from ur bike,u can feel the heat radiation already..thats not good...not enough fuel going in ur block(too lean)..thus when riding too long or at high speed...ur engine will become too hot,beware of piston seizure.

 

good setting wont make ur engine become too hot,that means u can still touch2 ur engine,unlike the scenario i mention above.

Oh my god..how do i revert the setting to standard setting so that it wont consume much petrol..roughly what to change? and cost?

im a super newbie to all this..super duper sorry to ask alot of things and thank you so much for sharing..

50km consume half tank..ur bike is drinking more petrol than a car!

needle show half tank gone..it might be local meter set but when i go pump again, its really half tank gone..

thats the reason why I seek help from this sbf forum rxz riders as I do not know where to turn to..

any ideas for little problematic here?

wah how come u guys got good fc sia.. mine just the main without touching reserve is oreadi 266km.. :cry: my carb is mikuni dunno is stock or not.. main jet is 210.. japan model.. :faint::faint:

proper setting at malaysia would probably be around rm35-45..depending shop..sg should be $25-45..by adjusting the c clip,main jet,and pilot..

er its not normal..check whether ur tank is local or original,meter local or original..if both original..be sure it isnt faulty..if its not faulty..check ur carb setting and block size in the next full service..

 

half tank to and fro jurong wdlds is helluva lot!like a dragon sitting inside the block.

if both ur tank and meter is original..try to use it until ur fuel needle on ur meter doesnt move past the red line anymore..as it is very accurate..im sure ur bike can reach about say..430km full tank?as theres about 4 litres left.

if ur block size is above 0.5..then go do carb setting,if its 0.5 or below..just leave it as it is.if u dunt whack,im sure ur bike wont get piston seize.

if ur main jet is 210..then maybe try adjusting the C-clip..sometime this thing cause ur bike to eat more fuel and give no power according to the amount of fuel used..i think reed valve problem also cause fuel to eat more but power wise not as expected...but im not sure about reed valve though..

 

the fuel consumption is caused by the carb isit?

Hi bro, panther needle can only be bought in jb. most shop in jb (susur) expensive ao u gotta be smart dunt buy in sg as they will sell u the hole carb

hi bros... wanna ask a question... can spec 3 showa gantung fix on rxz?

 

Hi, as long it is super 4 gantung can but u must hv a thick washer for the rear shaft iif not ut chain will rub aginst the spring coil

I love this setting mainjet 190, pilotjet 225... My current millage is 300km when it hit reserve. So estimate full tank is about 390km.. Wondering if i can drop the mainjet size to 185 or not...

Not really main jet small the fc less... Spocket size also plays a part in fc... Someone recommended me mainjet 185 pilotjet 225.. Spocket 16front rear 34... He said millage can hit 400+ km. Not sure if the needle plays a part between stock n panther...? Need to save $$ on petrol for now..

i never monitor my fuel consumption, although i want to, i know i can't, but if i do, i know i will never get the right and exact reading because my odometer meter is brand 'ayam' haha

I always pump full until the brim when leaving JB...hehe... then i usually reset my odometer... then on the nxt visit i go pump full again.... tis time i take note on the litres i pumped in... Example like 10.8L.. then at tat point of time, my odometer is usually abt 400km... so i take 400km/10.8 and u will get the FC of ur bike... :) wat i noe my full tank can go abt 430km max... and i usually travel on highway.. as im living in the east, my workplace is at queenstown and always go JB... so tat accounts for my "highway" journey... haha...
