full overhaul range price in sg is 350-420.cone bearing ard 50-65...in j.b overhaul rm500-600 cone bearing rm65

Morning Rxz peeps.. Could say rxz best bike to ride in sg... I was involved in a RTA on 30/08/2010. Bike wreck rabak... Sent to Yew Heng Motor which is also under S1 to do the repairs.. when i first sent my bike.. I engage the bike shop's lawyer to proceed fr me the claims.. Cost of repair $2.6k++. As i was doing the repairs at Yew Heng/S1 the lawyer ask me to sign a piece of paper so that i could retrieve my bike once the repair was completed. I was badly injured so i did nt manage to retrieve my bike for about 2 mths or soo.. I was working as a delivery rider at Mac Donald fr IVIC INTERNATIONAL when the accident occur... Hospital Bills and surgery was about $35k++. IVIC INTERNATIONAL paid up the bills FIRST and ask me to change to their company's lawyer, as i had already engage Yew Heng/S1 bike shop's lawyer. This is when all the problem starts. As soon as i change to IVIC INTERNATIONAL's company lawyer about 4 mths after the accident.. altho not strong yet i wanted to retrieve my bike.. The bike shop did not allow it.. They said i need to make full payment of the repair cost den they would release my bike... I went to IVIC and request them to make payment but they refered me to the company's lawyer, the lawyer's of IVIC said i need to wait for the claim process to receive the cash and make payment. On Yew Heng/S1 side.. they insist i make full payment den i could retrieve my bike.. My bike is still under installment at S1.. Insurance claim takes years before it gets settle. If it takes 3 years i need to wait fr 3 years???

Anyone could help?? Give me some pointers/ideas what should i do cause i don't have that money to make payment.?? Its coming to 9 months my bike has been detained and it would be much longer till i get the insurance claim... ANY POINTER/IDEAS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. Thanks in advance.

bro, just a heads up .... u need to push the lawyers to press on with the claims. here's how it goes behind the scene

 

1) if u have engaged the S1 lawyer's- they would have made the claims for you to the insurance companies and repaired your bike for you ( this is based on your liabilities and how much is the approximate claim payout for your PD (property damage, in this case ...ur bike damage) ) as the bike shop and law firms work hand in hand , they can release the bike to you coz they are sure of getting back the repair costs from the insurance company thru the lawyers

2) now that you have changed lawyers, the bike shop would not want to release your bike without any payment from your co law firm , the co law firm also would not want to pay for the repairs upfront without getting the money from the insurance companies

 

so now ur stuck .. and just have to wait ..

 

most insurance companies have lots of backlogs of claims ... first they need to investigate and establish wich party is at fault, then what is their liability (how many % are their fault and how many % do u contribute to causing the accident), from there they will assess or re-assess ur claims for repairs , then based on the % of liabilities , offer to settle the claims accordingly ..all these takes time, sometimes the insurance are too bogged down with claims that they failed to offer u any settlement, this is when ur lawyer will need to push them or even go to court, serve writs of summons for them to answer. courts takes a long time to settle as well, they will go to court to answer the writ, then appoint another dates ( sometimes months) to determine the liability of both parties, then postpone again to determine the quantum ( amount of money to be paid to u) , before u finally get the money or claims processed. sometimes, they will wait for the TP to finalise their investigations to see who is at fault then determine the liabilities .... seriously, u HAVE to wait very long ...

 

so my advice on what u can do :

 

1) call up ur TP IO to check frequently on the Final Investigation Results (to see who TP takes action on and determine who is at fault)

2) pester your lawyer to pester the insurance company to reply to their LOD (Letter of Demand) and make u an offer

3) wait patiently
