depends on your chain condition..normally branded ones come in a set..but of cause don't use ori afam sprockets with a 30rm chain..

hahas, high five..loudness bro told me a story, conclusion, 17t/42t..try to go a few pages back where this sprocket issue was mentioned..but once again, our 5 speed have diff torque..therefore that combination might leads the engine to red line faster than 6speed..wait till i got money, i buy le try..

bro tapi akunye tank malaysia ori at first isi penuh gila tumpah jugak. aku tuka tank cap jepun* dari rowell baru tk tumpah. to confirm aku pasang getah dari kedai gemok. mcm mana tuh? setau aku tank cap tk main peranan if minyak tumpah since tank da ori?

 

ini punya case aku tak tau..ni nak kene tgk dalam..kalau local tank tuka cap pon boleh..tak tumpah sgt..kalau cam ni..the next thing can see from meter(original)..ori tank gives quite very accurate reading..when the marker hits the red zone,usually left with 3 litres..so if past the red zone usually will top up about 11+ litres of fuel..

 

kalau local reading tak accurate..slalu main main pat meter..den idk if their tank is 13litres also..coz so far tgk members isi minyak 7-9 litre je bila marker da hit merah..or at least dah nak hit merah..

if from big to small sprocket..no need..can remove a few chains from the chain..if from small to big..must change..but if u have used the sprocket for quite sometime..advisable to change whole set.

with that 17t/42t, you got pickup. but how bout your top how fast can you go?

 

if u say got pickup base on the rear size 42..its not usually the case..notice the front using 17?its the same as 16/39 or 15/36...i personally use 16/39 and 17/42,there is a lot of difference.

 

first of all,u got the pickup,2ndly,yes u can get somewhat top speed,at least for me my highway speed is usually about 110-130km/h so i was looking for a sprocket ratio which doesnt go above RPM7 on my bike..so there was it..17/42,and it gives the best balance of pickup and top speed..furthermore i dont need to down gear when i go upslope..unlike when i was using 16/39..pickup so so..

 

but if u wanna go faster without the rpm reaching very high..try 17/41 instead..i think it would give higher top without compromising much on the pickup..anyway if u wanna try go ahead..

 

take note velocity and skywalker..i was using standard pipe,carb,and block,17" rims,with 90/80 michelin front and 100/80 michelin rear,big heavy tyres,so if ur with viva and spoke ur bike might go faster than mine,and as for pipe,if ur using chamber or internal mod..the pickup might not be as fast..im not sure..sooo im just saying this in case one of u changed and dont feel the the expectations i described,these might be the factors..

i remember, your's was a 6 speed, mine was a 5..at that time you told me about your speed at rpm..you're on 6th gear but i was on 5th..our rpm was close and speed was same..at around 100 or 120 i guess..

for tank the original have extra metal piece to prevent it from overflowing out of the tank..

its up to ur personal choice,id take heavy duty 428 anytime coz it doesnt go loose that often as compared to 415,and 428 lasts longer,but its a bit heavy.for 415 chain,ask bro syamitomo for the pros n cons..i nvr used 415 before..

ur using 15-37 and rpm7 on 100??whats ur rim size again..17" or 18?rpm7 capai 100 ni mau rabak ni...

shops will charge u about 55-60 bucks. DIY will Cost u about $35 bucks. go to desker rd a shop by the name of kin tai if i remembered correctly. spockets u can get them from rowell road auto machinery or jalan besar plaza ban hoe leong.

Bro..if im using spocket 16-38 is it possible?currently using 15-39 bila bwk meter 120-130km/h boleh bukak lagi tapi engine mcm stress after gear 6..mayb u all tau ape masalah selain dari tukar spocket?any advised bro syam or sewaktu dgnnya?hahaha
