hey bro..page 541 got suggestions and proven to work..but u gotta hold a old 2 stroker..newer 2 stroker ignition sets are more secure..

huh..main jet 210/220??210 is standard right syam??and 220 is just above standard jettings..im not sure about the sizes..

 

if the mech only take out that one then its only the airbox cover..not the whole airbox..eh go fix back and do the right setting seh..no right mech would recommend taking out the cover..even rxz use in race i think also nvr take out airbox cover..if im not wrong ur bike now no pickup right?

 

my recommendation is just fix back the airbox..but if u think its ok and u like it then choice is urs..for me..i have other ways to mod the bike without having too much air going in..and its only a few things to disturb..

now in singapore..got any more place to explore ke..?been riding for so long and the thought of 'go riding' just go blank..donno where to go sia..cept now frm yishun dam there can go straight to punggol..thats the only new road i know..

oh yea hor !! paiseh !! i was about to mention in page 541 that learning how to connect cables to start ignition system isn't really a good idea..who knows because of peer pressure , the innocent guy who learnt it actually helped his/her friends in a wrong way !

2 months before I did full service, changed piston plus piston rings, did setting and voila so light as smooth as fast as thunder. but few weeks back it just lost it's power due to crankshaft wear and tear bearings loose bla bla bla need overhaul. lmao. I'm ok with it as long as it doesn't suck the fuel like a running tap and the wear and tear it's too fast. maybe I should just do it standard back..

i think u have the manual right syam?just follow the manual..and maybe i could take a video while ur taking out..so can refer back..someone taught me to susun one by one on a newspaper or what..

yeah do standard back..before u go and overhaul..its best u ask any bikeshop that can do overhaul with u bringing the parts u buy from yamaha agent..and ask how much is their labour charge..and make sure u see them doing in front of u..overhaul of rxz can be done one day if not a few hours..

the thing is anything about the engine I do my bike at panjang jb. we both have a mutual trust on my bike to only do at his shop. if accessories or minor stuff I just do anywhere so ya if lets say I do overhaul in a shop in sg, by all means he knows. top to bottom he knows everything about my bike. so ya if I do my bike here I might have a hard time going back to his shop. prices wise jb still way cheaper. hmmm dilemma

I want to change my pipe from catalyzer to ori 3bs.

So i have pick up some imptnt note in tis thread on how to identify if its original:

-perot/stomach matte black

-wording yamaha & 3bs engraved on endcan

-dented punch on some part of the pipe

 

Other than the listed points,any others have pointers to add on to plz do so

 

N i got an offer from shop rm250 w/ silencer

is dat the actual price range of a new 3bs pipe?

Do i need to adjust the jettings or remain as it is?

1] you've a mono rack ? rafia string with knots at the bottle cap area and bottom cylinder part would be fine..

 

2] underseat compartment?

 

3] get a car bottle holder and cable tie it to handle area..

 

4] Last of all !! , two full 1.5L bottle , tie the both top part and put it on your shoulder or across your neck with the two bottles dangling.. tp won't stop you..stop you , light one bottle throw at them..see stupid hid off angle cars , drop one bottle..

last time I got it for 230rm eh with silencer. which shop did you ask? ze one you're talking about should be the malaysia ori. you go see the back of the shop ah sometimes they still put the pipe in the plastic containing the yamaha genuine sticker on it.

i rather be a hard customer even though im a regular customer to a bikeshop and up to this day..any bikeshop regardless anything they do on my bike,im there beside them looking at their work..by doing this i learn how to do and at the same time i know and witness myself whats going into my bike..

 

i do this because ive kenna once and fed up with a bikeshop at jb who told me he fit in ori piston and everything ori for just RM200..at the end my bike seize again and found out they were locals..

True wat u said bro, mutual or not, same2 skin anot, they definitely will try to suck u dry one. Nowadays it's all abt saving profits and not quality work. Wher they think u can't see, its ther tat they will try to cheat u. Sometimes wen I lazy to do my bike myslf, I too will go over to Panjang and ask him to do up my bike. And I will alwys buy my stuffs along first, which is most of the time cheaper here in SG, and see if they fix it properly. Be it fixing somethin complicated like changing pistons to somethin simple like changing EO, all I'll buy frm SG first and my eyes will be fixed on the mechs...
