Special thanks to Fib for posting this . Just want to share with you guys.

Saw this when reading thur his 1 Man Biking to Hatyai

If you have never drive your own vehicle thru the Thai borders before, read this post carefully. I've searched extensively through online forums and blogs to get an idea of what needs to be done. But no one actually described the process carefully.

See the form above. Its the most important to you next to getting your passport stamped.

Go the the little control office set to the side of the checkpoint. Its usually located somewhere near the toilets for your convenience.

Get an immigration form from the Thai personnel there.

Fill in the details as usual.

Do not queue up like bus passengers for the normal immigration clearance.

You are vehicle owner so you queue at the vehicle booths. Yes, it don't make sense but that how you, the vehicle owner clear your immigration.

As SG passport holder, you are advised to slip in RM2 somewhere in the passport as a tip. The Thai customs officer will not stamp your passport unless he sees that RM2.

There may be questions from him. But nothing to trouble you so far.

(MY passport only need RM1. SG passport RM2. Dun argue.)

Show him your LTA Log card. (The vehicle particulars from onemotoring.com.sg is enough. Just make sure all the vehicle and owner's details is inside the print-out, identifying you as the owner.)

He will not do anything to the LTA log card. You just need to show him this LTA log card.

When your passport is stamped for entry, go to the last booth in the place. You will see a lot of drivers queueing up with their log cards. Join them.

Show your passport and log card to the lady. She may seek some clarifications about your vehicle but the LTA printout should be sufficient.

She will give you the blue colour form above. (Without the chopped stamp.)

At this point, dun be blur-sotong like me and happily go off.

(Yup... I just happily rode off with an unsigned customs declaration form....)

Go to the next window in the same booth. Sign your John Hancock on two places in the form. (They pasted a handy sample form next to the window for your reference).

The 3rd officer will sign and chop the form. Just like above.

Keep this form close to you at all times.

You may be able to leave Thailand with your vehicle even if you lose this form.

But you will never be able to come back to Thailand without paying a massive fine.

Look at my form, my penalty fee is 600,000 baht! That's SG25k!!

Ride safely . Always bring Insurance paper with you . Your license card . thats about it.

Nothing really much . Just ride n see bike condition if 2nd hand. If first hand run- in i guess? remember to pump petrol . buy 2T . nothing much actually. Just basically look out for bike condition . thats all.

You can ask your mech actually they would normally tell u what to do all this. And what to look out for.

@lurhaf check if the 2T pump is working. Remove the 2T filter if there's any (most FS or FT plate rxz have them it looks like a small black colour bottle on the right of your bike) check the wheel bearings and brake lights and horns. Then check bodyframe number and engine casing number if it matches. Either then that seee if your exhaust is loud or not. And lastly make sure to duplicate your keys!!

if air filter can still understand why must put..but if u see from where the 2t come from...why is there a need to filter?unless u put dirt and sand inside the 2t compartment then of course la...other than that dirt wont really easily go in..

it comes to basic..yamaha didnt come out on 2t filter since rxz was released until now so i dnt think theres a need.

lastly, having that filter may constrict the 2t flow, and may just cut off 2t supply altogether if its blocked and cause seizure.

its a redundancy...dont need it.
