hey sorry guys got some prob w my meter.

recently just bought an original meter from the scrapyard. was quite happy to change to an original one. the thing is guys, the speed meter is really not accurate. i ride about 70+km/hr and it shows me 90-100km/hr. it doesnt feel 90-100km/hr at all. and also my friend riding beside me, my speed meter is always higher. he ride around 90km/hr, my meter shows 110km/hr alr. last time i used a local meter and it its about the same problem, only that the speed meter not so "rabak" shoot until so high. hope bros can help with this :/ rpm is reasonably okay.

thanks!

ban hoe leong can get ori piston and everything for 40+ 50+ i forgot..rebore only $12..waiting time depends on the workshop if got many block to rebore u have to wait..but normally about less than 2 hours i think..they take ur block and rebore elsewhere..

but for me just buy the piston and polish block a bit and just use the same size piston no need to rebore..ride ur bike until seize then rebore..block size is precious..try not to rebore unless the scratch inside jialat like seizure scratch...sorry donno what term to use other than scratch..haha

Where else has yamaha parts shop?

Besides Ban Hong Leong @ Kitchener Road

and one in desker road.

Sourcing for some unimportant parts for my bike.

automachinery at rowell road?there got two..one of it is located beside 2 other agent shop, while automachinery is a lone shop along the same corridor.

for small bike how they calculate the speed is through rim size, the cable located at front rim,if ur using 17" rim for sure therell be offset, not sure for 18",u cant rely on ur fren that much also and what bike is he riding?because his speedo might not be accurate too,and if ur comparing with bigger bikes such as S4,better dont.. S4's speedo are more inaccurate than small bike..coz they depend on sprocket size.

aiya learn from that lah...last time i open up and fix back my block also nobody teach me..trial and error..then my carb slider spoil..plus a thing or two idk how to fix back block after opening up..then i call my fren ask him to teach me over the phone..hahaha

im comparing with my friend's rxz and x1r. the thing is, its not possible for my z to reach 100km/hr at gear 3, at rpm 7+k. do you guys know if this is not a the meter problem? like can tweak something so it will measure speed normally? or is it the meter? :

Hi guys for spareparts first place you need to go to is united motor along rowell road beside weda. Then further up is auto machinery. United price is fairly cheap. Like main jet is $5 auto is $8. But auto machinery mostly carry the japan parts. So you need to ask carefully if its malaysia or japan.

DIY your rxz: ive done many diy projects myself important thing is to make sure what ever you take you put back!! Some screws are long some are short. And some is facing up some facing down. Before beginning to open up your bike buy the top gasket and bottom block gasket. And make sure all your tools are complete. Open up your block using a socket wrench. Size 12 or 14. The tricky part is to take out the piston clip. You need to be careful not to let the clip fly. Open one clip will do then the piston rod can be taken out then you take out your piston lah. Clean or polish do what ever you want with it. But most importantly people take out piston is to change the piston rings. Changing piston rings will add a little life to your piston. And it will not sound that loud. And its cheaper and easier compared to rebore your block and change to a newer piston. Estimate cost of changing piston ring DIY without plug is $20+ (rings+gaskets) when tightening up the block do it across then across again.

Its not as complicated as it looks !!!

I might be having a DIY session for a friend bike change clutch plate on the 30th April tampines. So those who want to kaypo kaypo can come down lah. Any other DIY session please sms me so i can book a date and help you if iam free. 84797926

Cheers!

rim size is standard, 18". speedo cable and speedo hub is one of the factors too? never check those two. sorry bro noob at this :/ thats why my mileage spins faster :s
