hahaha.. by right -: no more than 0.5 inches.. more than that >>> LTA inspection and if i can remember its 30 or 70 dollars fine..

 

by left -: u can go as lower as u want but hv to make sure wen u go up the hump ur couling doesnt touch ur front mud guard..

geng2 rxz sekalian..

boleh kah akoo buat deal ckit kat cni.. sape2 yg pakai sport rim rxz ori.. ade terpk nak tukar sportrim lain ke ape ke.. ble pm akoo.. akoo trade.. tak kire ar ape sport rim korang nak.. racing boy ke... apape ke... janji sport rim rxz yg ori ade.. kite tukar... kalau interested sile lah pm ye..

rear shocks/absorbers ... hmm. not sure but LAB sure got.. not sure how much it costs...

i bought rear shocks just the normal brand.. chrome and highest shocks at 30 bucks..

i think u can ask the guys working there..

 

about the front fork.. there r different alternatives to it...

1) u can modify the fork as in u have to cut the inner fork to several inches.. bikeshops can do this for u...

there shouldn't be any problem with the requirement of the down fork standards..

2) change the fork to RXK or RXS forks... they r shorter by a few inches...

3) use i size 16 rims.. the tyre cost about 60 to 65 dollars..

rims>>> sport rims r difficult to find but spoke rims r available...

 

all 3 alternative will meet the down fork requirement...

dun worry the rims will fit just fine in RXZ..

thks for yr detail explantion at this hr bro. i own 2 rxz before some 10 plus years ago, thats when we are riding the jap spec Z...cannot down the front front one....

 

what i meant here is i saw alot of rxz lowered their front fork until the top part before very protrude .... will it cause vibration at highway speed and shaking?? :smile:

when it come to thinking of it.. the lower the bike the better grip on the road bcos of the downforce...

bro i am not sure wat kind of vibrations r u refering to...

 

logically..

In professional racing, everything has to be in tip top condition.. n also up to the max specifications..

a) cone bearings must be just tight enuf to withstand the cornering n the straight roads of a circuit.

>>too tight the handle will be hard to turn..

>> too loose and the handle will easily go astray..

b) wheel alignment..

c) fork alignment..

the list goes on n on...

 

but for us normal street bikes.. better be safe than sorry...

 

u said abt the protruding top fork;

a) ugly.. hahaha..

b) wat if it hits ur chest if u suay2 cannot stop to prevent accident?

u will be killed by the bike's fork... its a possibility...

heard sometime ago a despatch rider's upper ribs broke bcos the chest hit

the fork in an accident.. but can never know if u die then u die lah...

>> there r safety reasons y LTA doesnt permit the protruding fork

 

usually the shaking will be caused by improper maintenance of the bike...

no point if u use a racing engine but u never check the parts and bearings to your handling...

 

i am not trying to boast but i have tested my bike at jb before 2nd link...

my bike is the m'sian version with 6 gears.

At that point of time:>>y4 standard block but oversized bore 1.75..

>>sprockets 14 front n 38 back.

>>tyrefront: bridgestone. 80/90 (japan) ; back : 90/90 tt100(malaysia)

>>Standard but carbonized pipe..

>> with big givi box at the back..

all the things r standard prior to the piston size.. EXCEPT...

for my pillion who is 2 times bigger than me.. yes i tested my bike with male

pillion..

 

I got my spd up to 175.. still got 1/4 of my trottle left..

didn't finish the meter thou..thats enuf for me..

it took sometime to reach as my sprocket stats is 14:38...

really rev it to the max...

no shakes.. cos i tightened the cone bearing a bit for straight road.. n also ur

handling must be very firm.. i used gloves.. bike is heavier with pillion so it stuck

better to the ground... we wore protective gears as this is a one time event.. i

guess..

 

Speeding is fun.. but there r pros n cons.. just look out and be careful..

N MAKE SURE U CHECK UR BIKE THOROUGHLY...

 

My best advice is PLEASE DO NOT SPEED. DO THINK ABOUT UR LOVE ONES!!

no lah.. pasal i use it just as spare tyres when my tyres go flat or spaying my hubs..

otherwise never use ah..

the rim is five star double curve spokes at each point.. if u get wat i mean..

the new long fork i can tip toe, but i tried a lowered fork with 17 inch , swee swee, still got much for me to grab the floor with my feet, i only feel safe with both feet flat on the ground
