guys,i make a deposit of rxz plate Fj n d shop selling for 1.5k.. but i didnt get to test d bike cos d block go 4 overhaul.. i dun noe sure or not but if its fully done,wat shud i check ferst??

Can someone explain wat is the problem i'm facing... my bike when i go to second gear after opening throttle the feeling like i'm riding a horse the bike jerking...can the pros care to explain wats the problem...:help:

Hey guys, i just got myself a RXZ, from a colleague. Use to ride one quite sometime back. I was wondering if anyone can tell me where i can buy a pair of brand new Koni suspensions cuz the shop at selegie hse*selling koni for cars* no more. That's where i got mine about 6yrs back for $206.

halo bro koni has stop production for bike already maybe since 2000 if im not wrong. btw i personally use it on my bike. great gantong ar :thumb:

Sigh....yes it's one of the best my friend...one of the best :cry: How about any recomendation for something of similar standards? The bike i have it's fully stock and fine, it's just that the original suspensions are way too soft for my liking.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello :)

 

Do you guys accept a foreigner amongs you? 32 yo caucasian here, staying since late 2000 in Bangkok,Thailand. I'm riding a Yamaha RXZ too, which i bought cheap because it was a pile of junk, the only thing still working was the engine.... well, i made it roadworthy again and now i'm driving it since october 2005 :)

 

Lately i had a few problems with it and googling those issues brought me here. Altough i am not the worst when it comes to fix bikes (two strokers specifically) these two problems puzzle me as i just can't find the solution. My local Yamaha shop spent many hours tackling it too and didn't find anything, just sucking money off me and the problems remain. So here goes:

 

1) Whenever it's raining (which it is A LOT in Thailand during the rain season), the engine runs erratically, sometimes going off completely. I can almost and immediately start it again without too much trouble, however stalling in the middle of an intersection or while running fast on the motorway is bad, and particularly annoying if it happens every few hundred meters. I already replaced the spark plug cap a few times, had the coil checked etc, the problem remains - only when it's raining! I have to say that the coil (under the tank in it's original location) stays perfectly dry all the time, there's no splashes coming there.

 

2) Ever since i got a new carburetor, i am struggling to get the tuning right. It ran absolutely perfect with the old carb, but with that it started to drip gas, and the shop couldn't fix it (changed floater, floater valve, needle, still the problem always remained), so i got a brand new carb which is exactly as it was originally. Initially it ran perfectly with that one too! However i needed the choke to start the bike (never needed it with the old carb!) so i started messing with the air screw. The old carb had this only 1/2 turn open, but at that setting the new one wouldn't go at all, it was like running with the choke pulled. And ever since i am trying desperately to find the right settings for that stupid thing, so far no success - i always have a "hole" in acceleration and it doesn't rev as high as before. The jets are identical between old and new carb (i still got the old one).

 

Would anyone here know how to set the air screw correctly, and what might be the cause of the first, obviously water-related, problem?

 

Oh, and i'll attach a picture of my "bulldozer" too, as you can see a few Kawasaki Victor parts make it look entirely different :)
