I agree wif u strongly... But it's not just abt the sticker tat's on our helmet or abt the bike tat u ride, I believed tat if ur heart says u belong ovr here, I'm sure tat u'll keep up to date wif us and be asking for more!!! Hee...

 

We are happy even if we go out together and ther's just 3 of us. We don't hav to depend on other groups/clans to make things happening. Just put Engineer & Chin together, they can definitely make a scene! Hee...

btw i need to change my piston oready man...its like getting shrink at the top..and i think its the cause of my engine eat fuel more than before...have to change and see first...

before anybody say anything about i emphasizing on 'standard'.its becoz i noticed that theres not much rxz-ers with standard specs and none wants to be standardized..sume nak rempit..haiyaa..no wonder insurance premium goes up!!

hah....can get around 50-70...new piston and rebore block(doesnt include installing charges)...$150?alamak hot sia...if i know shop liddat ah ill come down bring my piston and rebored block ask them to install and then say i bought everything at 101% price much lesser than theirs....fcuk bikeshops!

the real definition is factory set bike..like..how yamaha made the bike and sell at the market first hand...thats call standard.

 

but of course la IF we wanna take note of the little2 things like rebored block and change smaller size sprocket all not really standard lah..hahaha

 

my definition in standard is just not doing any mods to make it fast..thats all..hehehe

Unbelievably, Yamaha didn't even change the electrical connectors in all these years (my red RXZ is year 1995), your meter set plugged right in and everything worked I only had to replace the blue LED's with white ones, add an additional one (speedometer in your set got two, one of which still had a burned out light bulb inside) and replace the "high beam" indicator light bulb which was burned out.

 

Destiny looks good with that set, doesn't she?

 

I will return my set to you as soon as the post office is open, either tomorrow or Tuesday (as tomorrow is a public holiday here), i've done the odometer adjustment and cleaned it somewhat.

 

I will also include the two screws to hold it because yours required m5 screws while mine got m6.

wasnt aware that the old meter top speed goes up to 200km/h. is there a difference in the rpm value also??

Hi.

 

I am not sure how far the older meters in non-Thai RXZ's go - here the VERY old RXZ ones (those RXZ which use a standard steering bar instead of the two-piece ones) also have meters with 180 km/h and rpm meters max 12,000 rpm (but same style/cockpit as the newer ones), however the newer RXZ's (all those with two-piece steering bars, i.e. the "Japan type" one with Lemang pipe, "Japan type" with 3BS and the last Thai one with the different tail light) have those same meters speedo to 200 and rpm to 14,000.

 

In Thailand, RXZ was last sold in 1996, and all the RXZ here are "Made In Thailand". This is the reason why it is so difficult to get spare parts or accessories - RXZ here is "just an old bike" which nobody cares for, they are abused to haul heavy goods such as gas cylinders and when they break down they are thrown to the junk. RXZ in good condition can be bought for as little as 4,000 Baht, that is about 170 SG Dollars, with papers. We don't have "COE" here, as long as the "green book" is not lost the bike stays legal.

 

I once bought an RXZ which was ride-able, but didn't have the book anymore (owner lost it) for 2,500 Baht.... 106 SG Dollars, that bike contained a genuine Showa-fork, Yoshimura rear hub, 17" aluminium rims and the block i now use on Bulldozer, Y2 bored up to 150cc...... i used that bike for spare parts....
