hi,

 

my rxz seems like shes loosing power..but strangely only and ONLY at abt 5k rpm..o_O i find it very super weird..

 

Everytime i full or 3/4 throttle and drag my gear, i will feel the a reasonable pull all the way to just before the 5k rpm mark until the pull significantly disappears but the rpm is still rising. Then the pull will only kick in back at 6k rpm and onwards..

 

hmmm...whats wrong with my bike eh? Anyone to enlighten me?

Hi.

 

Looks like too many RXZ have that same problem, mine too! Specially if i ride with passenger and "lazy style", i.e. i shift up early. When i reach 5,000 rpm in 6th gear is like 90 km/h and there is finish, it can NOT go more. Only if i shift one gear down, go above 6,000 rpm and then shift up again.

 

My old block did that, too. I tried three different pipes (stock 3BS, Lemang, aftermarket 3BS) and no difference, tested several carb settings and no difference......

 

If i ride alone and there is lower power required there is no such problem now with the bored-up Y2 block..... only with passenger and high gear.

 

Seems to be RXZ nature :)

tell them that you want to do a full servicing and open up the block to decarbonise ur top block and piston head. check if everything is okie at the piston area and no hard scratches on your block wall.

 

if u just want to change E.O or spark plug might as well D.I.Y bro.

 

is it necessary for decarbonise the top block or piston head? Coz my rxz is still new.... juz ride it for about 2 mths.....

if ur bike is still new,no need to do full servicing esp if u just overhaul..if u ride rilek2 u can full service every 6 mnths..if u rempit service 3 mnths is recommended..if u really luv ur bike,service every mnth..haha..tats what my mech told me lah

Hi.

 

My meter goes to 200 km/h and i can clear it. Stock 18" tyre size, sprockets 16 front, 40 rear.

 

Block Y2, bored up, 150cc with RXK piston, ported. Approximately 35-40 horsepower (twice stock). Tsukigi chamber pipe with Honda LS 125 silencer. Stock carb and airbox.

 

See a little further up, the black bike on my photos. It's heavy with the accessories but it's fast, a perfect sleeper as nobody thinks it is fast :)

 

By the way RXZ meters lie - clearing mine (200 km/h) is less than 185 km/h in real. I have a digital speedo, too, which is correct.

 

Also, using smaller tyres (17" and/or "sotong") makes the speedo show much faster than you actually go. If you use 17" wheels you need to change the speedo drive to one from a bike with 17" stock wheels such as Yamaha Mate. See my red bike, it's done there. That one does NOT clear it's meter despite 16-34 sprockets, engine 100% stock.

its not really necessary but if u want to feel the lightness of ur rxz then why not do it. then you will appreciate your bike more.. :angel:

there is no particular spocket size to clear meter. this depends on your body weight and your bike. if your weight is 90+kg ur using 15f 38r its going to be hard for you to achieve your ending part.

ask you guys, wash carb cost how much? i dont know how to diy, so must go to shop. thought of doing it when the next oil change, although i know how to change oil, i dono how to wash carb, its been like 1 year plus?

 

the last time i washed was around 7, but nowadays i asked a few shops quoting from 15 - 20? that much increase?

and my front wheel cant spin smoothly, confirm not bearing cos the wheel cant shake side to side, it might be the brake caliper? or anyone knows the problem? scared go shop ask change this change that. i say dont want they give black face. haha.

Try resetting the brake caliper bro. Take out ur front wheel, use a flat screwdriver/chisel/anythn flat and pry apart the brake pads. Tis will reset the caliper. Put back the wheel and just tap2 on ur brake to hav it in place again. Tis should help it ease off the brake pad frm rubbing against ur disc...:thumb:

DIY sudah bro. Just need a brush and some of ur fuel. At least, taking a bit of ur time and fuel won't cost much than goin to the shop and payin the mechs rite?:angel:

haha. yeah. recently baru try wash carb sendiri. slalu ngan kawan buat. rase takot pon ade. takot setting lari la. bende ilang la. salah masok la. haha. sikit ari, da pasang balik carb, lupe nak pasang slider dier yg kat atas(throttle). haha.

Yeah... The thng abt RXZ, they are easy to DIY. No fairings to take out, everythns exposed.............:faint:

Hi i want mod my rxz look like cbr600 with the big tires and the big yoshi exhaust with the big bike sound. Also i wan the bike can chase R1, Cbr1000 etc.. Any shop to recommend that can do that with budget like 1.5k?

U spend 1.5K to chase R1...worth it?

 

even if U manage to do it...U also cannot sustain the lead....say hi to R1 and fall back...might as well just keep the money...get ur class 2 and get R1/CBR1000 direct.

haha. i know, but i dono how to remove the carb la bro.

 

u use negative nye screw driver, den so call "kopek" the brake pad/ your caliper which touches the disc. krr i know how to wash/remove carb. rxz lom lagi. bab takde rxz. haha. (sorry sebok kat sini) haiz. susah carik rxz eh skrg.

Yes pls dont say cannot, there is one guy mod spark with

$10000 until it beat 600cc, i just wonder if got good shop can do cheap for $1500..Slowly i do more till beat R1 cuz rxz more power than spark.

 

most ppl in this thread will just say, take the money, and if you have the license already, buy a big cc bike. no use mod small bike till crazy, its gonna be unstable anw.
