Not to say anything bad about Duke. It does seem that the Duke's internal shell is similar to Konda. So my guess is it will be as loud as Konda, wind noise that is. Other than that it seems like a good helmet.

The price sounds about right. Try bargaining lower if u want.

I've never tried the Konda but for the what it's worth, the PSB-approved Duke is a pretty good deal for a flip-up without having to spend relatively too much. Wind noise is worse without the chin curtain - I lost mine but it's bearable. Anyway, how important is wind noise really if most of the riding is done on Singapore roads? If one has been thru the riding phase with an open face for some time, should have gotten used to the wind noise anyway.

Current Rides:

FEB 07 -> NOV 08 [CBR 150]

AUG 08 -> AUG 12 [XJR400]

AUG 12 -> ??? [DUCATI MONSTER 696]

Friendly staff too!

Hi,

How about the Caberg Ego?

Any idea if it is available locally and price?

http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/caberg-ego/review.htm

Yup, I saw EGO at Racing World Singapore. So tempted to buy it there and then,

but in the end, I ordered Caberg V2X carbon online ;)

Other than Regina, anyone has ideas where I can purchase inner cushion paddings? Thanks!

You can check with Racing World (again). They're the distributor... I think.

How is the price of the caberg helmet from racing world vs Regina. My 1 year old konda visor is full of scratches and cushion padding worn out, going to replace with another caberg.

I have a seldom used Caberg Konda that I miiight be interested in selling. Size M. Matt Black. Worn less than 10 times, I think. Always used with a balaclava!Condition really is 9/10, if not better. Reason for thinking of selling is that I just can't get used to how close the chin guard is to my face!

I bought it from Helmetboys for $155. So if you're interested to deal at a reasonable price, do PM me and I'll get back to you shortly. Thanks! (Offer open to anyone else interested also la..)

That's alright, man. Not meant to be.

Anyone with experience of wearing the Caberg Konda/Duke models during a normal, hot day peak hour ride? How's your line of vision? I feel my Konda slightly restricts my peripheral vision and heats up/fogs up FAST! Didn't have this problem with an AGV Horizon FF...

Posted

So far its giving me a very good view but fogs up easily as there's no breath guard, so normally I will lift up the visor slightly when stuck in traffic or heavy rain.

Yeah, I have to do the same almost all the time when I wore it, open it just a biiit to let some air into the helmet.

The chin guard also is pretty flimsy right? It almost always fold inwards after rubbing against my chin as I'm closing the helmet. Not sure if they rectified this in the Duke or upcoming model releases.

Quite a shame really, it's a SHARP rated 5-star helmet, made in Italy, looks damn fierce, but it's these small attention to details that's lacking. I guess I bought it for its "on-paper" quality than "reality" quality/functionality.

I'm wearing the Justissimo GT flipup.

Its great on the roads. Much less and 'even' sound proofing compared to other brands.

The cutting's slightly smaller than normal helmet, i.e. M size is roughly Shoei's S+

bro how much is the helmet u bought? is it expensive?
