interesting. using a rational decision making method, i would say you chose the Yamaha.

1) it is the newest, with low mileage. yet not the most expensive.

2) specs wise it's not the lowest, but you have to shell out another $1000+ for the best (honda).

3) you seemed to express you interest in a special mention on the aesthetics (which is personal).

did i pick your brains?

Well, Zed, you sure picked my brains wrt the rational choice... what about the emotional (non rational) choice? We're talking about riding bikes here, not about buying a commuter family saloon car *lol*

good decision on the colour choice!

Colour choice is more or less irrelevant. Feeling of riding that V4 is what pulled me over the edge. They say you should do something that scares you once every day, well with this bike, you can!

Fazer 600 is nice, very comfortable but likely to bore me after a few months. The Suzuki with its 750cc in-line 4 was disappointing in terms of pick up whereas the VFR will keep me entertained for a while I think...

Details:

Date: 15 August 2009

Time: TBC (Do note that this is a full day event; starting from 6.30am and will end by dinner time.)

Itinerary: Dirtbike riding

Meeting point: Changi Point Ferry Terminal

(We will take a short bumboat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal to Pengelih, Malaysia, and from the ferry terminal there, a free 2-minute transfer to Tristan Park will be provided.)

Dear CBR darlings,

The main purpose of this event is to just go there and have fun riding scramblers on dirt trails. I have spoken to the person in charge and he was nice enough to reserve the 15th of August for me at no cost. Hence, I seek your cooperation by letting me know if you guys are interested to come for this fun-filled event. Do note that they are only able to accomodate a maximum of 14 slots.

Along the way, I may have some secondary school friends (all w/o license) who will come for this too. I will update their names in accordingly. The itinerary for the day and payment details will be updated once I have more participants confirming their attendances.

added: you may invite ur non/ex CBR friends to join too.

Slots are limited! Hurry! Grab them fast!

Love,

Kenneth.C
