Hey guys,

 

just curious if its normal that i cant start my bike with the choke being pulled up? and recently i also notice a loss of power on my bike, used to be able to speed up quite smoothly at gear 5 but nowadays i feel that its struggling to go up once its at 7k rpm/90kph

If yours is a 2003 model then please check your carburetor. (If you experience full throttle rpm stuck below 7k means there might be water in the system.)

Mine is the 07 model. Not at full throttle tho. But can really feel the bike struggling to go any further. It's as if it's stuck at 7k rpm

Can be 3 possibilities:

 

1. Water in carburetor system

2. Constant velocity Diaphragm within the carburetor is stuck or broken

3. Carburetor breather pipe jam

just recalled that the problem occured after i refuelled using ron98. switched back to ron92 and its all back to normal. weird...

just recently bought 2nd hand 2008 cbr150r. really good bike. changed brake pad aroung rm85(sgd33) quite expensive i think...need to replaced clutch plate and key set coz got people trying to steal my bike through the ignition key. lucky they didnt succeed...any info on price and where the best shop to get the parts. help really appreciated hehe..

Hi guys I'm thinking of letting go of my cbr150 soon.. so looking for any interested buyer. Financial crisis. FBA, so COE ends 2016. Totally stock but well maintained.. I'd say 9.5/10 for outlook and 9/10 for internals. Sprayed pearly white with gold rims a month ago only. Carb and whole clutch system changed/repaired.. only half a year old. Hello ppl! I'm selling off my cbr150r FY plate, COE expire aug 2014. Can renew one. It's repsol, orange colour. The speedometer wire not there so must buy and install(cheap2), condition 7.5 both interior and exterior. Rather than i scrap(cos i really dont wana ride anymore and shops dont wanna buy it), might as well sell cheap to interested buyer lor. U can save for full service, i can gain oso! Hey guys, I'm riding cbr150 old model. Need to change tyres very soon. Any advice?

 

Btw, i usually travel 120km/h, rpm usually about 9 to 10. will it be quite unhealthy for my bike in a long run?
